the best tekken game for me. this storyline was so intense and kazuya gives mi goosebumps in the intro.

this intro is so fucking nostalgic i used to get scared by it when i was a kid.

Kazuya coming back in this one gave me goosebumps all over easily the coolest character in the Tekken franchise

My god...this came out in 2002. Tekken 4, in my eyes, was another reason why 2002 was the best year for Playstation 2. Think about it. So many essential classics were being released for this console. Tekken 4, Ratchet and Clank, Kingdom Hearts, GTA Vice City, The Getaway, MGS2, Smackdown Shut Your Mouth... Happy days.

Good to see there are people who actually liked Tekken 4.

I remembered seeing Tekken 4 in the arcades when it was new and the return of Kazuya looked awesome when I was a kid.

This was my very first PS2 game when I got it back in 2002. I thought the graphics from the intro were out of this world at that time. I cant wait for Tekken 8 in just a few weeks!

Tekken 4 and 5 are my favourite Tekken games of the Franchise. ☯️ By the way Tekken 4 had the best story and atmosphere no doubt. Also my favourite Tekken Intros of the series are 4 and 5. Especially Tekken 4, developers did a lot of things incredibly right, most storylines were incredibly cool and the atmosphere and seriousness was just on a another level. I don't think most would disagree that Tekken 4 had a great"everything-except-the-fighting" to it. Great and Epic soundtracks, unique character designs, good individual stories, and an interesting main Mishima arc revival. The thing is that it's still a fighting game and no matter how great everything else is, if the fighting bit is flawed it'll overshadow the positives. Tekken 4 is sourly the most unique and underrated (mostly because of the choices that hindered the competitive scene) but it is my favorite Tekken to date, because of the very seriousness Vibes of the Story aspects perspective. The seriousness atmosphere of Tekken 4 it's on another level in my opinion.The soundtrack is what gets me the most next to the game's atmosphere. With soundtracks like: Fetus(Prologue), Authentic Sky, Unihabited(Mall Area) Didgerhythm(Jungle Area) Touch and Go(Airport Area) and Kitsch(Beach Area) and The Inner Shrine(Hon-Maru Temple) and others soundtracks, For me Tekken 4 remains even in these days the most Unique Tekken game of the series. ☯️

I was pretty young when I had this game and the intro would sometimes be too scary/creepy for me lmao. It also made no sense to me at all. But the times I did make it through, I remember fighting in the water as a cheetah man or something..good times.

I love the intro to this Tekken series game, Tekken 4 is one of my favorites since I was 11 years old and I still have it on PS2. Brings me back memories looking back at it, I still get chills from Kazuya Mishima making his entrance and how he fights. At 0:54 Christie Monterio is one of my favorites who's the hottest playable character in those days, I had such a crush on her watching her fight moves and how she dresses. Good times, back when Tekken had awesome opening intros. 🔥🔥🔥🔥💯

This one had me ripping Ewgf on everyone. Jin was cool, but this one is 100% Kazuya hype.

no... after kazuya and heihachi fought in the tournament, heihachi wanted to show kazuya his son, jin. while on their way to the building(honmaru -where heihachi kept jin chained up) kazuya was to transform into the devil. then kazuya wanted to take jin's power too, but were beaten.... after that, heihachi wanted to have the power of jin, but he was beaten too...

Kazuya is my favorite character but Jin got the ups on him as a fighter cause he beat ogre in his first tournament while kazuya was bring revitalized and no one kazuya fought was on ogres level

in tekken 5 intro in terms of win/lose jin defeated both kazuya and spares hehatchi telling him to thank his mother before he flees the scene then on to the opening of tekken 5 were hehatchi and his temple get blown up! the last person to kick but in the 4th tournament is jin kazama! the tournament ends as soon as the scenes gate crashed and blown up by jacks! the jacks being part of the 5th instalment!

I wish the Story ended on Tekken 4 or 5. Tekken 6 and 7 (minus the Heihachi vs Kazuya moment) we're messy. They should do a reboot game of Tekkens 1-5 or something like how MK9 was.

@kidchino2 because of all it glitches, low amount of characters and stage design E.G pillars that can get when you are running at someone. (personally i liked it)

@IF35 I totally agree, when Tekken 4 came out l was fucking stoked to see Kazuya again, the guy is and always will be the main villian in the series. The only downside to Tekken 4 was that the gameplay was really stiff and unbalanced. But strangely enough l was more disapointed with Tekken 5, even thou it is a big improvement.
