I really think that this should have been canon. Wang should have win the tournament, and beat his friend. Made more sense. Didn't like the direction, they chose to go win Jin (and this ww3 crap in T6).
In the original language it is more dramatic because it is emphatizes how Jinpachi trusts Wang to do the right thing. "Don't let it do as it pleases, there will be no tomorrow for humanity".
Even though it's non-canon. It nails the desperation between two brothers. One refuses to hurt him and wants to find another way, while the other is pleading to end his suffering. While the sake of humanity is at risk
In the defense of crossing language barriers, Jinpachi and Wang were friends for years, therefore, they should be able to understand both Chinese and Japanese

Harada designed Paul and Kuma in T5. He made him look like a complete idiot. My purpose is to destroy everything. While you humans celebrated peace, i was forgotten here. I patiently waited the time for my resurrection, a very long time that can be daunting, however i endured it. I lasted through all of this, and by that time, it had become a hatred for you all.
@@knockoutlam tbh coming from a character who had *already* beat Ancient Ogre's ass this behavior is understandable but i agree, paul went from kazuya's rival, the guy who beat ogre, to a joke character.

(Donnell Conner) I have no idea what’s the deal with that final form but I could’ve sworn he was an alien. All the other spirits and demons in the series speak at the very least.
Tekken logic: Some characters speak English, some others speak Chinese while the majority speak Japanese and yet they still can communicate and understand each other!!!! :D :D :D
@Goro Harumichi98. Yeah I think demon possessed old men with spikes growing out of their backs and stomach mouths are a bit beyond the police's ability to handle.
Here's what Jinpachi says in japanese in Lei's interlude: 40年前... translation: 40 years ago... But....my body didn't perish, this monster took over me and had taken away my freedom to die. The monster ordered me to...seek the soul of the strong and destroy the world when I had the time. I no longer had the strength to oppose his command...but as proof of my humanity, i had written a letter to Wang. (Lei's line here) That was my son, Heihachi, fault, i will return it now... I no longer have time....farewell...
I like the interlude with lei wulong after you defeat jinpachi because you finally get his back story and the cause of all this and his story makes you feel for him especially with that music because you realise he's being used as a vessel against his own will and has no other choice but to obey...respect for a very cool character
+Clone Stormtrooper Apparently he doesn't have the Devil Gene but a vengeful spirit took him over after he died. Though I wished they touched on what was the spirit that took him over.
@@arbiteras can you blame him? Cuz honestly, heihachi not having the devil gene (despite being his son.) Is a huge plot hole, since kazuya (a grandson, a generation after his son.) Has it... Yeah, it absolutly makes no sense.
@@michaeldunlap1032 It wasn't supposed to be a "gene" in a hereditary sense. In Japanese it is called デビル因子 "Devil factor". In the sense of it being something akin to a demonic curse rather a "gene". It means "I am the being you mortals call 'Devil', 20 years ago, when you nearly killed me, half of me splitted, and i'm getting it back from this guy. NOW is the time of my resurrection". It's not saying "kazuya left half of me in him", that safely removes the "gene" theory. "40 years ago, I fell to Heihachi's trickery and was imprisoned deep under the mishima family house. For many years i survived, but eventually i died. However, my body couldn't be destroyed, this monster had taken over my will, it had preventing me from dying. The monster told me, when the time came, to seek out the souls of the strong and ordered the world to be destroyed. While i refused to obey, i had no longer the energy to oppose it, so i wrote a letter to Wang as proof of my humanity." The line where he says "souls of the strong", omitted in the english translation, made me think about Ogre, as Ogre in its character description says that "seeks the souls of the strong to kill them and take their power". But Ogre was a form of Devil back in the day, (same tattoo that Jin has). Jinpachi clearly was meant to be the connection between the mishima family and the curse of Devil. This was confirmed by Tekken 6's artbook on Jinpachi, that says that Jinpachi is the one that brought the Devil curse in the Mishima family. The demon pendant and golden bracelets worn by Jinpachi, the reference is clear. What i hate is Harada changing lore that others wrote to his liking because he wants his own characterization of Heihachi. He ruined a lot of the other characters in tekken too, like Julia Chang that made her a Lucky Chloe clone and Paul that turned from Kazuya's rival in a clown bonehead.
Anyone interested in Jin's interlude with Jinpachi in Japanese, here it is 仁八「貴様誰じゃ?」 Translation: Jinpachi:Who the hell are you? Jin: I am Jin Kazama, heir of the cursed blood! Jinpachi: Ah, i see, that's why my blood is reacting like this... i'll kill you! Jin: I will strike down this evil bloodline! Jinpachi: YOU really think you can do this? Do you have what it takes to defeat me?
‘Not like Ganryu is a Yokozuna Rank’ I love how Tekken takes every opportunity to troll Ganryu relentlessly. Harada even said Ganryu was his favourite character because he felt bad that no one likes him.
8:48 I find this interlude somewhat dark. "Primary Target in sight. Prepare for final battle" The after battle scene doesn't help matters. Jack 5 just GOES HAM on jinpachi, and you no longer see that dark aura coming out of him. Jinpachi's dead demon body is just there, in the middle of nowhere. Finished off by a Jack with no consent....
He says in japanese something deeper. You are the one hindering my resurrection. He used the same words as Kazuya in Tekken 4. Now is the time for my resurrection. Same word for "resurrection"(復活). Tekken 5 has severe translation errors, intentional like Lei Wulong's interludes. I assume due of Harada hiring Murray as translator, a even worse guy.
@@jorgebersabe293I feel like they (Kazuya and Jin) have justifiable reasons for being assholes but Heihachi is just pure evil for no reason. he literally locked his father up in a basement and left him to starve to death because he wanted to take over the zaibatsu. can’t get more wicked than that
5:30 Law: Are you Mishima? Jimpachi: Yes Law: Then I’ll get the prize money if I defeat you, right? Jimpachi: Yes that is correct Me: law wtf are you thinking
There are characters that get the generic interlude mostly because they pretty much have nothing to do there. Except for Lee and Steve which have connections with the Mishimas.
Guys at 17:43 you might hear a slight audio bug for a little bit and during the process of editing this video I don't know why the audio bug happened or how it all started but it still bothers me to this day LOL.
6:16 Paul Phoenix😃:I got your freaking point. Either way,I'll be the toughest guy on Earth once I kick your ass! Ten seconds, ten seconds and I'll be number one! (Jinpachi shoots a fireball that kills Paul Phoenix)
Jin's ending wasn't supposed to even be "canon", as you can see as some sort of Jin's bad end of turning in his father, Wang was supposed to win,as the depth of characterization and bond with Jinpachi makes the story have a lot more sense.
Sorry but you're the one that doesn't bring up proof Tekken 6 Artbook brings up Jinpachi as the link of the mishimas to the Devil gene (origin) vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/tekkenpedia/images/2/2f/Artbook_Tekken_6_%2855%29.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20140621213724&path-prefix=fr Tekken 5 Jinpachi's ending ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XiinhCTyXrE.html "Jinpachi's mind is consumed by the DEVIL as he reaches his final transformation." Q:but could it be a mistranslation? A:Wrong, in japanese T5, the word used for Devil is デビル (Debiru, which is the word for the western culture being known as Satan, or the Devil) while if you refer to a generic japanese culture demon or evil spirit is 悪魔 (Akuma, meaning demon) or 鬼 (Oni, a tall, very thick muscular orc-like creature that is native to Japanese folkore) There is no single mention of 悪魔 or 鬼, but デビル is used a lot in native Japanese Tekken 5. Jinpachi transforms using the devil gene willingly as seen in 2:10. 2:18 Heihachi says (even in japanese) "No matter if you have the DEVIL's blood or not, you can't defeat me!" This is more than solid proof that Jinpachi does have it, or at least he was supposed to, not even taking in account how similar Devil Jinpachi is both personality wise and physically to Devil Jin and Devil Kazuya.
Clone Stormtrooper ....Dude, Tekken 6 and 7 strikes down what you claim Tekken 6's Intro is Jin starting world war 3 with the Tekken Force in his control, which he wouldn't have got if he hadn't killed Jinpachi And in Tekken 7, the Devil Gene is confirmed to come from Kazumi, Jinpachi was possessed by a demon so he never was supposed to have the Devil Gene in the first place, hell that wasn't the Devil Gene at all. So the other guy is right, you're basing things off nothing
Because Jin wasn't originally supposed to win the tournament, as he was supposed to be defeated by Hwoarang, transform in Devil Jin and beat Hwoarang and try to win the Tekken 5. only to be defeated. Wang Jinrei was supposed to be the original "true" ending for the obvious close ties with the final boss (best friend since childhood) Jin's ending was supposed to mean "Jin becomes another Kazuya bad ending" which is what happened in T6, that made the story stupid as hell.
Even though the follow up for Tekken 6 would have been confusing, Wang being the one to actually win the tournament would have been badass af. Maybe he'd turned down the reward out of shame, and Jin could've been the runner-up.
@@Beforezzz better alternate ending: wang should have won but in grief of his best friend's death, he didn't care about any wealth or property so he sold it of to Jin Edit: Another alternate ending could be: Jin defeats Jinpachi but instead of the scene where we see Jinpachi turning into wind by the hands of Jin, he instead falls on the ground, Jin leaves. Meanwhile, Wang rushes towards fallen Jinpachi and we see Wang's ending. Any of These two could have been much better canonical endings.
