Its just unrealistic for the best Muay Thai expert to be that frail, i mean its THE most brutal fighting sport, those fighters are very agressive / confident, crazy even.... problem is also that her looks/body is very unrealistic for the best Muay Thai girl in the world, which makes her strikes just feel... weak... unsatisfying.... she should look more like CRIS CYBORG or something.... JUST BRING BRUCE IRVIN BACK PLEASE HARADA!!

Was really hoping that Josie would pull off some FMA (Filipino Martial Arts) stuff since I heard she was Filipino, but when I saw her fighting style, it just looked like a cheap version of Bruce's Muay Thai. The wiki says she fights with an "eskrima-based kickboxing" fighting style, but I honestly don't see it other than on some of her throws. Would've loved to see some empty-hands eskrima moves or maybe even a pair of knives that functions as a stance change. As a Filipino guy myself, I have to say, I'm very disappointed in the character. The whole crying thing didn't help either.

@@kyle.mcgraham I see no larger implications from Bruce's ending, so it could be canonical or not and it wouldn't really make a difference. It's true that most of the endings are not canonical, but they still reveal something about the character.

Facts Bruce is a great Character, i love his Tekken 5 ending its still amazing to this day "Keep it up kid" after beating the shit outta those assholes who was picking on the little boy 💯💪🏾and i used to have fun playing him in Tekken 6 the most in Ghost Battle kicking everyones ass while digging his new moveset, its a fucking disgrace they took away a iconic Character like Bruce and gave us a crybaby trash like Josie smfh its beyond ridiculous

Bruce is a great character. Whenever he is available to play in Tekken, I will always be playing him as my main character

Omar Whyte We need Filipino representation in the game. Tekken is the biggest fighting game in the Philippines. Albeit fighting games aren’t that big here. It’s just sad that the Filipino representation came at the expense of losing Bruce.

Leave Gigas alone, he shares some move animations with Marduk(mostly different data on them) but he plays very differently. I hope they double down and flesh the character out instead of removing him in future sequels.

oh please, original Raven aged like milk. Master Raven was the best thing they could do to revamp his move set and give a much cooler face to it. It made me play her, smth I never did with the og one cause he was a boring ass character. Bruce on the other hand should have never been replaced, but his design deserved a revamp like S2 characters in T7. Hope he comes back for S3.

I am a Filipino and i main Bruce (but for now josie). Its so sad that i was hoping that he would be back, maybe season 3, but i am happy that a filipino character is intro in tekken. Josie should have been a non-stick variation of eskrima. Maybe Yaw-Yan ,but its quite similar to her current like some moves but its comepletely different from muay thai or All Filipino Martial Arts mixed together.

Steve b1 is much more gay. You can't whiff punish it, you can sidestep it and it's like -3 on block. Bruce b2 is good but not that good. Just block since it's -9 on block and leaves him close, so you can do mixups. Or SSR it whiffs even when Bruce is +8. From standing he doesn't have scary lows either. cd3 is good though but pretty slow.

Double Jacket Jimmy No. Bruce’s chain throws are useless because of their slow startup, easy throw break window, low damage, bad oki opportunities and very hard input window for the follow-ups. They’re so impractical that no one uses them on any skill level.

Christopher Martin Thanks for the clarification. I was always curious about Bruce’s chain throws but my lazy ass didn’t manage to actually pick up and lab him. I was always surprised that King/Armor King and Nina players do use their chain throws at least once per match but I never seen Bruce players do that. And I remember he had like at least 5 or 6 variations of chain throws. Such a shame they are useless.

My respect for Josie disappeared when she stole my favorite character's moves and slot. I would take Bruce over her in the game any day, honestly his exclusion has made me hate Josie. I refuse to use her even if she is similar.
