Majin Obama shouldnt have commentated this honestly.. dude really took away from how dope this matchup actually was with always cutting off his co commentator and sometimes just ignoring everything he says
I used to like Majin Obama, but he really wouldn't stop talking in this and didn't let the other guy speak much. Maybe he was always like that, but he kept drawing attention to the complaints about him that I couldn't help but get annoyed.
I don't like to rag on commentators but I will make an exception for Majin Obama, I've never been a fan of his commentary. Especially considering his co-commentator was Michael Fucking Murray, cmon dude.
You know, it's funny; during the first part of the video (elim matches to win the extra lives) I thought Obama's commentary was perfectly fine and felt kinda confused why everyone was ragging on him in the comments. But when the actual series started, he definitely went too ham during some of the matches, especially during B's streak.
Yup. Was thinking that the comment section was overreacting. Was proven wrong when finals started. This guy needs to take a class in basic conversation skills and EQ. Being hype or mellow is fine but being a jackass who cuts off their partner and antagonises them while adding nothing of value to the commentary.... Someone please put him on a restraining order, far away from the commentator's seat if he ever pulls this bullshit again..
it's an exhibition though. best place to test negan against pros without risk. other korean players might blame knee for not taking it seriously though.
If I had to review the commentary, I'd say their styles have a hard time mixing. Majin is Hyper Tempo, while Murray is very mellow and slow. The biggest thing is that the guy sitting by Majin isnt a regular commentator, so its understandable on why things sound off between the two. Overall a 6 out of 10. They were okay, but there has been better.
Why in tekken tournaments, I always see people complaining about commentary. The commentary was fine. Majin was okay and Murray was ok. I'll admit I've seen Majin at his best with Guilty Gear and Murray works on Tekken and he always sounds mellow. This wasnt the best commentating in general, but I wouldnt say it was so bad I couldn't bear it. The only times I actually dislike commentary is if a person just sounds like they don't know what they're talking about and feel like they're trying a little too hard because of that.
Nah it was pretty bad. Your tolerance level might have been suitable for it but I have to be honest I literally had to pause and search the comment section to see if I was the only that found the commentary pretty bad. He tried a little too hard to be entertaining and after awhile I just gave up and muted the video.
The commentary isn't that bad but that might be because I'm used to people who like to speak ghetto, I wish Michael Murray would've spoke a bit louder though.
To be fair the other guy sounds stoned, and is totally silent most of the time. Obama was probably trying to fill air and make the event seem less dead.
Alright people. The commentator is trash and you've said that a billion times already it's getting tedious. Just focus on the game or mute the damn sound.
