Based on what I've tested out, you can get a bit more off of u+2. u+2 - df+4,2 - 4,2 - (in air) 2 - ff+1+2 S! - dash - 1+2 (or rage art). Default combo does 72 damage on it's own, with no rage art. I've found a few more small optimization here and there, but that's definitely the biggest damage difference between what I've found and this video. Anyways, thanks for the great video! You had a better counterhit u+1 combo and I didn't know about the close range counterhit db+2 combo pickup. I'll definitely be using some of this.
Alternate uf3 combo for those who hate crouch cancelling as much as I do: uf3, ws3, 1, 1+2, S! dash, 1, ff+4 ~ 63 Damage. (End with 1+2 instead of ff+4 if you dont want to change sides, 2 less damage but more wall carry/keeps them at the wall) It was the best i could do. If only this move didnt recover in crouch
You never disappoint man. Excellent video. Very excited for Noctis and really hoping I click with him. and to the people screaming about him not being "Tekken" or whatever.. Really? We're playing a game with a squid ninja-thing, two LITERAL friggen bears, a robot that falls down after wins occasionally, Eddy =/, and other assorted ridiculousness. Noc's move set seems to be pretty grounded - it just looks flashy. Just calm down, its a game and its fun. Yes, he's so anime its almost painful.. but hey, it is what it is.
People look at these combos and yell "OP", yet this is not his full potential and certainly not a guide on how to play him. Besides, he's not THAT powerful. Yes, he has the best overall range in the game, and yes, he has quite a few tools to help out newer players, but a lot of his moves are unsafe (we call him Mr. -14 around these parts) and quite linear. He can be rewarding, but it's not as easy to use him as you think it will be.
Nah he is. You mention his range like that isn't a massive advantage. He can punish things that were previously unpunishable, or virtually unpunishable. And not only that, but it's done with the most brain-dead inputs. His only weakness is you can step him if you happen to see a 30ft sword coming. And he doesn't have any good strings when he's in your face.
Alternate low parry combos: low parry, df+1+2, S! dash, 4,2, delayed 2, ff+4 for 49 damage.(replace ff+4 with 1+2 if you dont want to change sides) or low parry, 1+2, S! dash, 4,2, delayed 2, ff+4 for 51 damage.(if you dont want to change sides use combo shown in video)
I don’t get why people bitch about how he is not meant for this game? But if anything he’s like a cross between Master Raven and Yoshimitsu. So it’s not really a big deal. SC had Vader, Yoda, Link, Spawn; and yes even Heihachi. ...and no one bitched when they was in that game, also including Ezio Auditore. And ik what you gonna say... but he fit, but imo Noctis does fit here as well. He’s easy to pick up but challenging to learn his full capabilities. I like what they did with him, he is now one of my new favs, like Predator is to MKX.
I'm a fan of your combo videos and they're where I always start when learning a new charachter, but is there any reason why in every single combo video there's 1 or 2 mistakes or wrong notations? I know it's easy to over look once in a while but it's every one of them. After watching so many it's just a small peeve I've picked up. But thanks for the videos anyway
Better df2 combo for everyone, which is also way easier. d/f2, 4,2 then delay the 2, but not that long, 1, 1+2, ff4 65 damage which is 1 more than shown here, and also alot easier to pull off because of the crazy ff4 timing needed after the delayed 2
Yeah it’s like mega obvious that this character was made for noobs. Let’s be honest, 2,2,2 fucking screws after an already pretty decently damaging launcher? Get real. He looks cool for sure, but I can already tell I’m gonna get annoyed by Noctis players.
Zach Haveraneck bruh honestly after akuma, no character annoys me as much. Every character has easy mode combos, but akuma's motherfucking 10 frame launcher annoys me more than anything else possibly can
Did you figure out the problem? I have trouble to get out of the while rising command, my kick isnt the right one haha, i get the while rising 4 instead of while standing
So I found out this interesting thing about Noctis comboes. After a launcher like db1+2 or uf2 if you use df4,2 d2,2(instead of df1+2) your opponent will touch the ground and reset the combo but you will pick him up anyway so it leads to more dmg
You have to remember tho that resets are not guaranteed. Your opponent can tech roll and you will get less damage than what you would get if you just did your combo.
The Merchandise Yeah thats true its like - 19 on Block but still a pretty good 15 frame punish (dont Kill me if im wrong but i think its 15 frames) it high crushes and has an unblvbl range.. Coul be ez already the Best df2 in the game
Im sorry for the maybe stupid question but, where there is the S! im aware it meas screw attack but im guessing we just have to find a separate thing that lists the screw attacks for us? And will any of them work or is it trial and error?
Wow seems cool! The Noctis DLC broke my game so I can't play Tekken 7 and enjoy my 27 dollars that I spend on SP. Tried all the fixes, everything you could possibly think of :). Thanks Bandai!
It seems to have hella strict timing. You need to crouch cancel precisely to connect with the 4... Not too soon or you'll get ws4 and not to late or you'll miss or get standing u+4
Ive been trying to do (df2 4,2 [in air] 2,2,2 S! dash df1 ff4) for about an hour. I cant get the ff4 to land. Ive landed the combo like three times and I dont know what im doing differently, the majority of the time when the ff4 hits it launches the enemy into a series of backflips but doesnt do the command grab.
Geese is not that hard... only hard thing about him is the ragin storm, other than that most of his other moves in combos especially u can heavily buffer in
S! means screw its not a move, It means the move before the S! causes the character to hit the ground but still be able to be hit off the ground. Usually this move will make the other guy twist in the air thus it is normally called a screw attack.
i never land that ff4 in the end, can anyone please guide ? no matter how quick i am, i am never able to pick opponent up by ff4. i have season 2 of tekken 7.....
Can anyone tell me what these buttons mean or at least lead me to like a button legend? I understand the layout in the end of some of them, but what are uf, S!, and some of the others thats not on the controller icons?
Noctis isn’t really high execution, except for that. I thought that move was fff4, but I’m glad it’s not. He’s got a lot of spin moves and potential combo Enders which is really nice.
Ironic Grammer Nazi yeah that must be a thing too... or perhaps he's not holding the f (f f-hold+4)... you know what I mean? Gotta buy this dlc tho, looks nice
