Tekken 8 Beta Test (PS5) - All Characters Interactions & Win Poses Unique Dialogues. These hidden details are showing major improvement of Tekken series.
The new special intros and round start ups give the characters a lot more personality and just makes the game feel more alive imo. I'm genuinely impressed over how much of an improvement this game is.
It was 2d fgs that invented those battle intro animations, and they became so popular that Namco wanted it in TK3. Then 2d fgs invented character specific intros... But TK sequels changed the battle intros completely, so TK could not apply that change. Now this old school battle intros returned, and devs simply applied special intros. It doesn't feel very special in itself, because it's an old school thing, but in practice in feels special nowadays as the industry abandoned these kind of special interactions. The most "specific" thing today in a fg franchise is MK dialogues... but only the lines are new and the animations are generic. So TK8 using that is a big deal. I hope Capcom, SNK and Arc Systems feel inspired to bring it back in their next fg.
@@BryonYoungbloodgiven kazuyas attitude he was actually quite nice towards Lars during T6.. He warned him what happens in the mishima family and wasn't hostile at all
@@Shadowrulzalways He may not share the same interest as her, but that doesn't mean they can't love each other. I mean we still don't know why Kazuya clapped Jun's cheeks.
@@hihowrya370 But Kazuya doesn’t love her. That’s what you’re not getting. He may have the first time they met, but we don’t know yet. And I would look back in previous games. He mocks her bloodline in Tekken 4 even just to piss off Jin and found her and her bloodline a nuisance in getting in his way and in Tekken 6 prologue, Kazuya blames Jun for his loss against Heihachi. Kazuya is evil and he willingly chose to be. He took over the devil gene on his own free will for power and that’s all that matters to him. Meaning he was never a good person. He rejects his humanity entirely. She wants to save him, but he rejects her and tells her to leave or die, basically. He won’t hesitate to kill her if she continues to push him. It’s obvious that Harada intentionally made him irredeemable. Cuz he shows no redeemable qualities at all. He continues to be the worst of evils. Worse than Heihachi. Cuz while Heihachi was evil himself, he has redeemable qualities. Kazuya… zero. None at all.
@@Shadowrulzalways Well that's why I said "It seems like..." and "Kazuya is Kazuya and he won't let anyone get in his way." I was saying that the special intro implies that he has feelings and IT SEEMS like it. I didn't deny that he's evil, he definitely is. I was talking about possibilities. I mean you even said "He may have the first time they met, but we don’t know yet.". "We don't know yet" is the key sentence since well, neither you and me know and I'm exploring the possibility that Kazuya might have real feelings towards Jun but hides it so that she won't get in his way. Kazuya has a goal and it's straightforward. At first it was to kill Heihachi no matter the cost, and now it seems like he wants to be strong by absorbing Jin's Devil Gene for world domination. But that doesn't mean he can't love someone. There are various cases in other media where the evilest of evil fell in love with someone but hides it and they don't change the way they act or reach their goal. That's my point. I was trying to keep this simple but you wrote a paragraph so here I am haha.
@@jorquon23colox18 well gotta wait for tekken 8. Goddamn Mishima really have problems with choosig their ladies. I hope Xiaoyu somehow break this curse XD
Kazuya and Jun's interaction really shows there's more to their relationship than just a simple one night stand. I don't want to read more into it, since this is Tekken.
I was honestly hoping Jun would have a special interaction with Xiaoyu and Asuka. With Xiaoyu because that may be her potential daughter in law, and that they both care about Jin. With Asuka because they both share the Kazama bloodline. I feel Asuka could've also had an interaction with Xiaoyu as in some of the endings it appears the two are somewhat familiar with one another.
@@zoroasper9759 Never said they were classmates, but in endings such as Asuka's tekken 6 ending, as well as Tekken tag 2, and other tekken games, they have interacted with one another along with Lili. So yes in canon they don't know but still.
@@momop788 depends. In 6 he chilled with Nina a lot, despite her "strictly work etiquette" personality. And we're led to believe that Jin had plenty of friends back in Mishima Polytechnic School. He's not a total edgy loner, he's mostly a normal dude who happened to be a part of a crazy family, unlike Kazuya or Heihachi who were born evil. Weird how Lars and Jinpachi are the only normal ones, even Lee who's not related by blood, still has dome villainy in him
Which is ironic since Jin's and Lars' entire relationship is "I'll kill Jin' "Nvm he's very chill" "Gotta save him" For Lars And "who's this dude?" "get lectured on, dude" "time to sleep for the entirety of Tekken 7"
I've always loved the idea of all Tekken characters speaking their own languages yet understanding each other's languages. For example, Asuka who speaks Japanese can understand what Lili says in French.
Games not even out yet and you've already gathered a lofty collection of clips. Cool to see all of these showcased so soon; I do adore character interactions. 0:33 - I did not expect that from Law nor did I expect to laugh so hard as a result of it. 0:50 - I think the Xiaoyu and Jin is one of the few I'd seen before. It's a little sweet and yet a little sombre all shown at once with this. There's a friendship yet a distance to it. 1:17 - "Don't you think the camera angles in anime can be a little weird" moment here. Rather hilarious such a positioning for one of the more serious interactions. Also, Jun just changing the entire scenery as she speaks or is that simply what Kazuya sees (rather sweet if the latter). 2:46 - All of Paul's scenes are just full of energy; love it! Cool to see him riding off on his motorbike. 3:09 - Always appreciate seeing a character who knows what to truly do after winning a fight; drink tea. The same could be said for losing a fight though... or avoiding a fight... or starting a fight; tea is just the answer to everything. 4:00 - King with the mic is easily one of my favourite ones. He always has a way with words. 4:42 - Lili so far has the best of victory screens; one she drinks tea, the other she fusses her cat. Refined and adorable! 5:33 - Happy to see the pet interaction brought up with Leroy vs Lili here.
I love how when Jin and Kazuya are about to fight Kazuya just smirks and Jin grunting. You know what they’re thinking they ABSOLUTELY hate each other and after several games getting to know them no talking needs to be said from them. Sometimes actions speak louder than words
1:53 I want to see this intro at the grand Finale of EVO/EVO Japan,COMBO BREAKER,CEO and tekken world Pro tour. It would be a Memorable moment to remember for years to come.
love the difference in Lars' facial expression when he defeats Jin and Kazuya. like with Jin, 'ya can see the progress within the Mishimas -they're so adorable omg- . with Kazuya, it's the family's good ol'
Really want Kazuya and Paul to have their intro, even if it’s Kaz dismissing Paul because he’s on another level. Remember in T1, Paul was one of the very few to fight Kaz to a standstill and has wanted that rematch ever since.
These intros and win poses are nostalgic and really interactive, making this game's experience move beyond its own time. I just hope the devs add the remaining iconic characters before the official release
@@crystalalumina Maybe-- he has more detail but also lightning bounces off of him more naturally, somehow. His hair also looks way better and doesn't get in the way, unlike Paul's, for instance.
A special little interaction when the character is one round from victory was a damn great idea And overall I'm so glad for Tekken community, as the devs are passionate and responsible, and we're getting a completely rebuilt from the ground up personality-rich candy
Nah I think it's really for law since they're both fighting but each with different goals because Paul wants to prove he's the strongest and meanwhile law is after the money
I doubt that line is for Bryan specifically, but I do love the idea of Paul and Bryan having some form of history and connection, mainly because Bryan feels like he's been a static character since Tekken 5.
William and Kazuya kill for fun after the loss of their sanity, and both characters share similar colour schemes; purple aura, purple skin, purple powers etc
I liked the fact that if King ever got a special dialogue with his win post, they will have to choose the ones that his holding a microphone 🎤 because that is the only win pose with dialogue, so whatever he's about to say he will announce it to the crowd and I found that funny and adorable😂
...Oh, so Jun is the one who'll finally stop the Mishima family feud. There's the whole "breaking from chains" theme in Tekken 8, but Kazuya is not interested in it and Jin seems to have quite the complex. "People like us shouldn't exist", he said in that trailer. Pair that with Jun's "You're all alone" for Kazuya and you get the picture: Jun wants to stop this long hate cycle and show that there is indeed a place even for people like them... And she might use her fists to better illustrate that, haha.
@@philgamer9499 sadly they made Paul a complete joke instead of showcasing how powerful he is/was. A nod to it at least would've been nice as a callback but I guess as far as the current canon goes, that may as well have never happened.
Father and son clashing without any dialogue. Jin and Hwoarang matching kicks and Kazuya and Jun reuniting after their one night stand. Tekken has gone full Mortal Kombat in terms of dialogues.
