Both Asuka and Feng made debut in Tekken 5. Feng Wei was trained in the dojo and became a top student at the age of 20. One day, Feng mercilessly killed his master due to his lust of power when he broke the dojo's rules that forbade him to fight martial artists of other styles, just to become the strongest fighter. He went around the world to challenge other fighters and destroyed many dojos, hurting many innocents in the process just to show his full power. One of these dojos was run by Asuka's father before he was hospitalized after being injured by Feng himself. Lei Wulong arrived to investigate the situation in the dojo, informing Asuka that Feng decided to enter The King of Iron Fist Tournament 5. Hearing that, Asuka entered the competition herself to deliver payback for what Feng has done in her father's dojo. Even to this day in Tekken 8, Asuka still has a grudge against Feng for what he did.
