Respect for calling Kazuya's punishment with EWGF "On paper". Reddit and TZ make it sound like Kazuya is just blowing everything up on block with EWGF. But when you watch matches(T5/6/Tag2/7) from any high level player(Knee/Choksae/BoaLuvb/etc) you are not seeing these EWGFs after everything on block. Even if some moves are -13 or higher, you might not even be close enough to punish. And I fell for this nonsense when I started taking Kazuya seriously. For anyone who is knew to Tekken and in turn Kazuya, PLEASE PLEASE watch some high level play.
I’ll always love how out of all the characters, Kazuya, since day 1 is so rooted into the Tekken gameplay is that he’s the embodiment of it. A very simple man, hardened by time and complexities only the best Tekken players can fully master.
One thing that I've always appreciated about your videos is how clean, concise, and intuitive everything is. These videos can clearly be just easy narration of you in training mode talking about things, stretching things out to 8 minutes, but it's never that, there's a level of artistry behind these videos, and I've always come to really appreciate it. Really happy that Tekken 8 is out, cause that just means more TBS content. Thanks again for your video content.

Great video! Something that i didn't realize the ramifications of was his b2,2 no longer giving screw or bound, making it so he can't get good routing after 2-3 electrics and is resigned to just doing dash electric 4 or 5 times. Bums me out a lil cause triple electric starter was always cool

They destroyed kazuya in T8, he is weak as fuck. Almost every character has insane pressure and panick moves and if you main kazuya you know you are completely fucked when you have your back to the wall. Hes 50/50 game is weak as fuck and his combos do very little damage compared to other characters. Even T7 kazuya is much much better than T8 kaz... What a shit show ... Btw I'm a Kazuya main since T4
You'd think being the most iconic Tekken character, he would at least have a buffed DF+2 or increased damage. But no, they decided to nerf him to the ground just like Heihachi.

His cancel proved challenging to me. I think the change to the running input is what made it harder since i mostly hold the double forward input when i do the same in tekken 7 ( jin's 3,1 zen cancel ). But as always its so satisfying to land.
Part of me is kinda sad that they made Kazuya's gameplan different from Tekken 7. He feels quite easier now, then again, that's probably just me being an elitist, but hey, look on the bright side (I don't know the bright side)

I’m new to Tekken and I made the mistake trying to main this guy for my first character he’s incredibly difficult I’d say he’s the hardest character to learn you need precise movement to play this character
Can't wait to play. Unfortunately I pre-ordered from Amazon and won't even get my copy until Feb 3rd. I don't know when it got like this, they used to pre-ship so you'd get them on release day, maybe the day after. I thought everyone was getting early release copies when I started seeing so many Tekken 8 videos showing up on RU-vid.
