Fun fact: Jin's voice actor, Isshin Chiba, has been voicing Jin Kazama ever since his first appearance in Tekken 3, every game that Jin appears in, he is voiced by the same VA.
Also not so fun fact, Heihachi's voice actors both the old one and 'new' one have passed away. Probably had a part in why Harada decided to finally kill of Heihachi....it was time.
I like that Kazuya has more allies than we thought. He got Feng Wei, Nina, Azucena, Jack-8, a whole army of Jack-7's. AND his final devil form from Tekken 7 had its design massively improved for Tekken 8. It's genuinely wonderful seeing the effects of Tekken 7's success and how it is changing Tekken 8 for the better. Here's to hoping this is the best fighting game story campaign in history.
I love how Tekken has become less about just a tournament and more of a full on heroic drama. I hope every character gets to chime in to play a part in the overall saga. Can’t wait !
@@therealgmhere5988 from the last story based trailer, it looked like Jack-8 is unique and is the commander of Jack-7s. This Jack may also be carrying the memories of Jane's Jack aswell from previous games

@@MeatSim64 In terms of length he wins, but in terms of amount of works i believe he only gets behind some voice actors of SNK games, like Terry Bogard's voice actor, who doesnt have 25 years on that role but was in many more works, because there are more games with Terry than games with Jin.
From the looks of this game, the story seems to center around Jin realizing who he truly is and fighting to redeem himself and saving everyone from Kazuya.
I wonder if Jin's devil form has turned into his Angel form. Based in what I saw on so many trailers when Jin was drowning, he didn't accept his devil forms hand. And rejected it. I wonder what sort of form or power Jin will end up having after this. The story is epic. I cannot wait to play this game. I've never been this exited for a game in 7 years. This will be amazing.
I'm just realizing the original reveal trailer is for one of the final scenes in the game. Tekken has the best story in fighting games. Namco always takes it to the next level
This is shaping up to be the best Story Mode of the Tekken franchise. Absolutely amazing and reminds me a lot of the Tekken: Blood Vengeance film, just a continuation off of that.
This is beyond cool. I loved every single moment of it. The fact that Jin has lost his power only to get it at the end is such an amazing concept. I could not be more pumped for this one !
Amazing concept? It's about as exciting and predictable as when every main character from Japanese anime ends up with amnesia at some point. It's boring and so common amoung Japanese written stories.
I've always love how every character speaks their native language, so we can have someone speaking korean and someone japanese and they still understand each other 😂
@@fezzy5591 scenario campaign mode is fun but it’s not good as a story mode. Just today i finish the mode after 11 years since the last time i played it and the story is not good. I think it’s can work as a side mode like a tekken force mode but it’s not fun when the main story of a fighting game stuck behind a beat em up side mode. At least now everyone in the story mode in tekken 8 (sadly no dlc or important character that’s not on the story like anna, eddy, julia or miguel)
I was 9 years old when I first went to a gaming arcade in Pakistan and played TEKKEN 3. I instantly got addicted and have played every single sequel ever since. Won some local tournaments made some good friends. Thank you Tekken I'll keep playing until the last installment of series.
I remember playing the first Tekken on my PlayStation 1. Man what an epic game. Great characters, 3D stages, great fighting mechanics, awesome unlockable boss characters. Tekken 2 will forever be my ultimate favorite. The most solid roster, great music, and best graphics. Tekken tag was also epic. I spent many hours playing Tekken tag with friends. Tekken is up there with Mortal Kombat, and Street Fighter, in the class of best fighting games of all time.
Actually seeing the divided lines beyond the side plot storylines has me genuinely hyped to play specifically for the story mode. Hoping it brings back the Tekken 4-5 style story modes since it seems everyone's story can actually connect back to the main plot if this trailer has some ounce of truth.
I dont like it, I think its horrible, no way in hell story needed azucena or other bs characters, it makes it look goofy and stupid and takes away from the serious vibe. oh I want to destroy the world because coffee haha laugh now, its shitty japanese comedy.
I've never been so excited for a fighting game story mode. This looks stunning and I'm really excited to see who wins in this power dynamic. i love that this time so many characters are involved!
One of my favorite game of all time and this my favorite fighting game of all thank you Tekken for creating this amazing adventure from it just started until now. Kazuya is my main character then Yoshimitsu
Watching this trailer felt like an anime. And what's even better. We get to play this as well. We get to play this game. What a time to be alive. It's looking absolutely beautiful. And the story mode looks so inclusive of all characters and I always wanted that kind of synergy between everyone. It feels so much deeper than any previous tekken game. And I haven't even seen the rest of it ❤. Can't W8 for T8
As an Asuka main, I was really hoping to finally see her getting involved in the Mishima conflict. Trailer still looks dope though, and we'll still see how the final game looks like. Super excited! 😊

I love the way they added our conjunction letters so you can see what's in context and why it makes sense to us!. Like that's a cool detail, should have subs like that in anime
Beat the story last night. What an incredible experience. Still getting goosebumps. This has to be the most polished and breathtaking story I've ever played in a fighting game.
I really appreciate and love that almost every single playable character is now more involved in Story Mode compared to before when they weren't. More excited to see how everyone plays a part in it and how much it'll affect things moving forward.
I was hoping Jun would be seen more in the story, but this is just the trailer, so who knows, maybe she will be seen more throughout the story but hopefully not just as a ghost, a vision, or just a spiritual being.
Tekken is giving Mortal Kombat level story with the arena scene with all of the fighters being involved! I got straight up chills with how good the story already is!
@@shenelljohnson74 I know but just based on what's happening in the trailer, we never got a Tekken with THIS type of story where everyone was truly involved in the story, we only got arcade endings and epilogues in Story Mode to base what happened and speculate what truly were canon.
I was mostly thinking Soul Calber or Dead or Alive. Mortal Kombat story bit more protect all realms this just basic personal family BS and this it’s Jin vs Kazuya again for the 2nd time since 4
@@456skye ah, I believe just like MK not the new era crap but the beginning shao Kahn & shinnok was a threat to the realms so you couldn't leave them out.. just like what's kazuya is doing is that he deems himself NOT human no more and he actually a threat to everyone on the planet if he can wipe out countries so we can't or it's impossible to ignore that... soul Calibur same as well with Siegfried and nightmares there swords was so powerful it was a threat to humanity and mankind, DOA just basically a man trying to play God by gathering data info on every fighter

But because its bamco the delivery is lazy and I don't believe the character because she's all happy and smiley, talks about her coffee in the most cringe and robotic way and has next to zero other personality traits. And has next to zero animation in her face. Because again Bamco There are zero ruthless business woman vibes from her.

Kazuya became the scariest boss now this gave me chills that Jin lost his devil power but in exchange of Jun reveals that he also have that angelic Kazama power in him that’s why he is called the child of destiny and I feel like there will be Tekken force and will be fun to play 🤩
@@antekliyue9874 He's right, Tekken 7 had a couple cool moments, particularly the fight at the end but it otherwise did feel very rushed and last minute. The quality was all over the place, you'd have these high end looking cinematic moments like Heihachi Vs Akuma and then plain old boring dreary journalist narration, then a cut scene, then still drawn images etc. It was cobbled together.
@@scabab90 The best part of 7 was the finale of Kazuya vs Heihachi, it felt like a great ending to Heihachi, and showing Kazuya is beyond human. However the journalist was eh.
I think it was nonsense that he was randomly able to put up a fight with devil kazuya since he has been beaten before several times without the aid of devil powers.
Been playing Tekken ever since the 1st one came out in '94. I never imagined the story from that game evolving into what we have today. Back when Tekken 2 came out, the mere act of making Heihachi the main was so unheard of, Namco put ads in magazines saying, "The Rumors Are True." That's one thing about Tekken: no matter how the game plays from game to game, that Mishima canon gets you hooked.
I’m also a fellow legacy player. Look how far we’ve come. Give yourself a huge pat on the back because our love for this franchise has helped it grow into what it is today. 🏆
It’s pretty funny how Jin is surprised he can’t go devil mode. Like, wasn’t it always against his will to turn into devil? T3 ending he only shifts after being shot by Hei. At the end of T4 he seems in control, then by T5 he’s screaming bloody murder in a forest with chains and face tats. When he goes insane and starts a war in T6 devil doesn’t even come out funnily enough. And finally in T7 he blows up a helicopter with a laser in his sleep and is later found shambling through the streets of Souq fighting Hwoarang (I can’t remember if this is canon or not since in the story Lars finds him).
You are right lad but his devil gene is stronger then KAZUYA he whooped KAZUYA and Heihachi’s ass one after the other and flew off. Maybe they will use this for his mom to come and so he can turn into a devil again
This is going to be the best cinematic story mode to date for the series, I'm sure of it! Tekken 7 was good and had it's moments, I understood the storytelling and the plot, however it was half baked. Here, they have stepped up! This is something that I would love to have in theaters!

@@marvalllman it was but it was necessary to keep Tekken series alive. Tekken 7 7 rescure the entire series thanks to how many copies of the game has been sold. We can say everything about T7 but it was a saviour we never expected.
