Hey thanks for watching and the compliment on my Zafina! I'm subbed to you and have watched a few of your videos. You have a great Zaf as well! I play her a lil more defensive and passive than most but I have my own unique flow with her. Glad you could take something from my gameplay I'm still trying to polish things with her in T8 as I go. They changed Zafina a lot coming from T7 which is the game I first picked her up to main so I carry a lot of my playstyle from that game with me. I dislike how much they nerfed her in damage on many of her key moves, removing her long range poke b1+2 from neutral locking it behind stance as well as removing useful kick strings from her scarecrow and low strings from mantis stances. She lost quite a few useful stance transitions as well. You really have to make most of her moveset and stances in T8 as they are to get the most out of her. The new Azazel moves are cool and fun to use but she really needs some useful buffs in season 2 to round her out more.
Nice Zafina gameplay as always, very different from mine lol. I go in stances a lot. And i wanna make ppl submit with ff3 😅 U seem more like the defensive type. That last round u went ham though.
Thanks Bro.I always feel my gameplay can be better at times with Zafina if i could put more quality time in with her. I am very much a defensive player at heart since T7 days with Zaf. I try to keep to those roots in my gameplay still mostly. I know T8 is all about aggression but I only tap into it with Zafina when it feels right since she is more of a defensive character in general. I respected the Lidia player a bit due to their rank as well so I played a bit more passive. I was feeling it a bit in the last round though after I made a nice conversion from the claw parry. That cancel from df4,1 into WS 1,2 is a T7 special lol. Used the plus frames ob from TRT df1 to get df3,4 in there.
Very good composure on that first round. Lidia annoys me and embodies the problem I have with Tekken 8. These constant 50/50 mechanics and unnecessary stance transitions. Like, can zafina have more moves in her stances…. 😮😅
Thanks for the compliment and checking me out!. It can be hard to keep composure in this game with Zafina at times against the crazy onslaught of offensive many characters like Lidia can dish out but I try to manage with good defense and get my licks in when I can. Missed a lot of easy punishes at times with WS 1,2 when I would duck some of her highs. I agree about the overuse of 50/50s and every other character having stances in Tekken 8. Zafina was just fine with her stances and strings in SCR and MNT. It was no need to reduce her moves so much in stance and removing useful transitions like TRT 3 into MNT that was with her since T6! The balance patch for season 2 better liven her up with some damage buffs and more moves or something. She is such a shadow of herself from T7. It really saddens me at times what they did to her. She got punished for being allowed to be great for one game!
Zafina doesn't have a 15f standing launcher. Her df2 is 16f. I suppose I could have done her 15f df3,4 as a punish but 1,4 sufficed ok being that its a 10f start up from jab. Didn't affect the outcome of the round though.
@@LoneTaurus82 Yes, I know that Zafina doesn't have 15f launcher and only has 16f launcher because my main character is Zafina (even we are friends on Steam since long time ago). But that's not what I mean. You also don't have to punish her with 15f launcher if you don't have it. At least you can punish her with df3,4, db4,2, or (14f) df4,1, or (13f) df1,4 for maximum damage.
@@rizkirivaldi2292 I just realized after my comment when I went to your page that we are friends on Steam. Sorry if I came off a bit defensive. I just play the game at irregular hours most times due to work etc so my mind isn't always in the frame of mind to punish things on point or optimally with Zafina at times. I honestly hate they made df3,4 15f when it used to be 14f from T6-T7. Thanks for the tips though. What name do you go by on Steam by the way?
