jin mains stopped using omen stance i wonder why its rare to see omen spam nowadays, i thought its pretty good on spike in wall combo since it has a weird hitbox
I'm still using it on the wall for pressure and mix up options, the good thing about the omen stance is that after the omen hellsweep when the enemy got hit on the ground he cant techroll or quickstand, which means u get free oki damage extra after the combo
Lack of knowledge, most top Jin players use Omen Stance. It forces the opponent at wall into 5 different potential options (1 High, 2 Mids, 2 Lows) and four of those options lead into another combo up to 55-70 damage or a reset which means they’re forced to take a mixup. If they duck you can use the mids, if they block high you can low etc etc. As a Jin player anyway your strength is pinning your opponent to the wall as his damage really spikes there.
Its cuz omen has a chance in whiffing even at the wall. Not if you finish a wall combo using savage sword. Thats the only time we use it. The range is just too short. 2nd reason is Jin's heatsmash is more worth it than omen. A fast wallsplatting move that carries the opponent all the way to africa.
New to this don’t fry me to hard I’m pretty sure this isnt a true combo but FF2 into heat 50/50 most lower ranks will just stand block purple rank and up seems like they’ll crouch more often but you can omen stance them into whatever you want I’ve only missed it a handful of time do to me just not pressing the right input
I think no? Now that you mentioned it i havent tried it yet. Db223 into omen is a bit too slow your opponent has more defensive options by then. 123 into omen is just more optimal
@@princessfischl7564 Oh really, okay okay. Because I always used jab into Db223 into omen mix as my wall enders, and they connected almost all the time.
This King had poor defense tbh. Even when he had you jumping from the floor he started mashing mindlessly when he could hopkick you for a whole combo and win at least one round
