Tekken 8 - Zafina - Quick Match Sessions - T7 Inspired Zafina Returns!!

After some combo labbing last night I hopped on late for some quick matches using an Zafina's T7 default plus her T8 hood after altering the colors a big to fit with her purple Flame Ruler rank.
I had some fun and engaging matches against many purple rank opponents with Jin, Lili and Lars with an exception being a Raijin ranked Law player who I faced last in which I really had to play a solid game to get the best of. He was almost like a Boss in this run!! I do some every entertaining things with Zafina especially in the Lili match in particular which I think I had the most fun with as you will find out :-).
Decided to merge all of them into a collection of sorts like I did in a previous video. Something about Zafina in her T7 outfit with her T8 hood just works haha. It made want to play her in a very inspired free flowing way. Hope this will be entertaining to any that watch!!
There were a few weird game locks at certain points in a few match with Jin and Lili. Pretty odd.

Thanks for checking me out man and the compliment! Just trying to iron out my kinks more so lately with quick match and lounge matches. I have enough stress in life than to always deal with ranked in this game. I play it in spurts. I'm a older guy i'll be 42 in May 😅 I hadnt been in ranked since getting flame ruler but I'll be ranking Zafina up again soon enough! Hopefully no pluggers be on when I try for it lol. They really need to fix that and add a penalty soon.

@@LoneTaurus82 All good take your time. I’m 29 and I watch my cousin 47 still cook players like he’s 16. Zafina will require some discipline but it can be done!!

I'm curious, how plausible is to play Zafina without extreme movement/KBD? There are some difficulties I have with that stuff (among others).

Well you sort of need good movement when playing Zafiina to avoid certain strings and attacks in this game especially. It is key to making alot of her kit work especially her main launch whiff punisher df2. Her movement was actually toned down a bit from T7 but it is still decent. I don't even do KDB properly I believe but I have developed a good motion like it to really create distsnce when I need to. For Zafina you can start getting a feel to her movement by doing a simple back back motion which is pretty quick. They did adjust that in this game a bit so you dont necessaarily have to do KDB to create space. Her sidestepping is really good as well in this game. What do you us a pad or a stick? I use an OG PS2 pad. Those things were bulit to last 😅. They dont drift like these newer controllers seem to alot.

@@LoneTaurus82 I can move, but not too much. See a lot of high level players, not just Zafina, utilize that KBD. Aha. That is great. I would say it is kinda hard to accurately estimate distance. It is more learning what other characters can do than learning by watching. Some feels like they are having extra long limbs. DualSense. It is good. Bit tough to get diagonal accurately in a heat of a battle, but works properly for now. PS2 gamepad was work of art. Simple and effective. I'm annoyed with these new stuff with RGB lights, touchpads and such nonsenses.
