I'm playing on Time Attack in place of Arcade Mode because of this very reason. I couldn't stand the dumb costumes in arcade mode and also fighting boss characters early either. Time Attack has everyone in default costumes and fighting everyone in order.

@@Rromantiq Same! that's the main issue I have with this game, characters look ridiculous in arcade mode, especially Jun where she's wearing that weird helmet. I'll definitely try time attack next time I play Tag 2. Thanks.
