I have been using this torque wrench for a few months now and can honestly say its 100% worth the money. Weather your an entry level technician or a veteran its worth having in your tool box!
Great advice. The only problem I have with the Tekton Split Beam is the minimum torque setting of 20 ft lbs. Too high for Honda/Toyota spark plugs, which is a critical use for the stuff I do.
I agree I feel like this torque wrench definitely has it place in the tool box. Smaller things that require less torque I use my snap on 3/8 digital torque wrench
Thank you for the insightful vid, how is this torque wrench holding up? I’m a Subaru tech and was considering purchasing both the 3/8” and 1/2” Tekton split-beam torque wrenches. For the 3/8”, do you feel it’s accurate in the lower range perhaps 30lbft? Subaru drain-bolts are 29-31lbft as I would like to use the 3/8” for that aswell caliper bolts etc.
So far so good I do feel like low range torque on some things are good like drain plugs and calipers bolts I have noticed on banjo bolts they are kinda hit or miss when it torques down I typically just just my digital torque wrench for that but for drain plugs, suspension, brake jobs it works good
