Great vid thanks. I used to just do my 19 Odyssey. Loved the drain plug torque to spec then no mention of what torque was. Lol. I looked around and found it to be 26 foot pounds. Figured that would work not being too crazy. Sometimes posted torques are way out of line.
Your telling me I've been dealing with my infotainment screen loosing signal and cutting in and out as well as that annoying crackling noise from my speaker for months because the clips for the tuner module on my Acura TLX and this is all it needs? Wth
Thanks for the video.Just drove a 2022 pilot and when radio is turned off and or volume turned all way down I can here static.Believe any and all recalls performed.Any help would be appreciated.
It’s most likely the buckle itself. I’ve been that happen on another CRV it might be covered under warranty I would recommend bringing it in to the dealer and have them check it out might be a free repair
Nice video! Maybe Someone can help me here with the differential. I have to replace the differential on my 2022 Honda CRV 1.5 turbo EXL. When I search on the internet, two codes appear: 41200-5TG-010 and 41200-5TG-900 Is there any difference between both parts? or both fits my car? I´m not in the US (different VIN) and the dealership does not give me the information I need
Saying the size and head type of the botls would be really helpful. The same goes for the types of electrical connectors to help people avoid breaking them. The bolts on the side for mine had T-27 Torx heads. You can use a screwdriver to pop off the bottom cover. The black electrical connector for the horn has a push clip that you may need a flathead screwdriver the depress and them pull the connector off. The yellow connector needs to be popped just out of the housing clip and then the black tab just slides back away from the other connector to come off easily. The center bolt on the steering wheel has 14mm hex head (normal sockets).
I'm wondering the same thing cuz I can get a whole engine for about the price of a rebuild but I'm wondering if it makes sense to just get another head/repair this one.
@@thehondatechnician I see. So inspect 1st, decide then. I’m a new-ish mechanic so I’m trying to get an essence of the logical order of things that need to get done when something happens/breaks. Thank you
I need to replace the left volume control. Is it possible to replace without completely removing the steering wheel? I wasn't able to see how its attached to the lower silver plastic trim piece from the video.
2:32 or just measure how much comes out into a measured paint bucket and add the same amount back. It says 3.5 quarts but I’m glad I got the bucket because 4 full quarts came out and that’s what we put back.
My Pilot only blows hot air after this recall was completed by the dealer. Is it possible they screwed something up when they had the dash pulled apart?
thank you and idk to much about that fluid to say for sure but i would recommend against that just because of the transmission. we had one not to long ago come in with ATF fluid instead of the 3.0 and the transmission needed to be replaced. car wouldnt move so with that i would stay on the side of caution
Hey man totally random question. I own two v6 hondas 11 accord and 07 ridgeline I have no idea if they have ever had a valve adjustment they run perfectly and I take really good care of them. Are there symptoms for needed a valve adjustment? I have come across many honda owners with very high mileage on their engines most well over 230k miles and most of these owners have never had a valve adjustment and they have been perfectly fine so I guess I'm just trying to understand how some owners make it so far without one and if I need one ?
hey sorry for the late response but valve adjustment are good to do to make sure the engine is running at its best. sometimes if your valves are too light you'll get a misfire pretty common on older Hondas. extreme cases you can run the risk of burning a valve if their too tight for too long.
I'm a fleet mechanic and i have a 2020 pilot touring. It had this recall done last year but now the radio wont turn on. It came on for 10mins then shut off again. Do you think its a fakra issue or radio itself? Whoever did the recall put the black locks with the arrows facing away the red tags
Is it just completely black or does it give you an error message if one of the connections came undone it might have a black screen and network communication error message Honda with the back housings being backwards and the arrow not facing the red tags the connector inside the housing isn’t seated correctly but I don’t that that would cause the problem
@thehondatechnician its completely black. No error messages no sound. Has power, ground and communication. Although i don't have access to any wiring diagrams.
Is this the same for a 2019 Honda Passport? (push button shifter). I've seen some videos where people where using the ATF-DW1 instead of the ATF Type 3.1
Possibly pad shift? It’s pretty common usually when you go in reverse and hit then brakes you hear a little click. Honda has a bulletin/ service news article on this. The diag procedure for pad shift is take a business card cut it to take up the space between the pad and the bracket. Then test drive it if the noise goes away that’s pad shift and completely normal
Just got home from getting this recall. Done on my 2019 pilot elite. On long road trips, I would lose all audio and no backup camera I also felt like the driver speaker volume was much lower than all the other speakers . After the recall was performed, I noticed the volume level is even throughout the car, and I feel like the subwoofer got a boost. I even listened to my music two or three clicks lower now. Huge difference.
Amazing video my dear. Very nice clear and concise job. The VSA mode is the part that wasn’t clear enough for me when i tried to change transmission fluid. But this time I will replace by following the outstanding fully detailed instructions provided. Many thanks. Will keep posted when done. Thank You So Much😊😊😊
My 2020 CRV has completely different Calliper's to this model on the front , I thought they would all be a standard type slightly larger and a different shape than these , My car was made in Japan its a Euro spec model so I am confused
As an electrical engineer myself working for an automotive company, I just gotta say damn I would hate to be part of the team who designed the wire harness for this system. Yikes, lol. My 20' Ody has the initial recall performed, but the slight crackling is back again recently.
i have a honda passport the did the ones in the front how ever my problem seems to be at the rear coming in to the amp and they claim pin is actually broke and they said not part of the recall??
I just remove the trim part thats messed up without taking all that crap out. I have a 2013 civic. With a trim tooland start prying . Theres also a filler which is used to cover all imperfections and the areas where is all "chewed up" around steering wheel. I did this and worked fine, at least on my car....
This is great - thank you! I was told by a dealership that this was not a spill-fill process, that it required pumps, special machinery, etc... maybe it was a way of explaining the VSA mode, but now i can save myself the $580 they quoted!
