Listened to these briefly while sitting next to Eric Alexander himself at RMAF a few years ago, an unrefined exaggerated in-your-face presentation, these are more for an untrained ear wanting to be wowed with volume and dynamics (just like what I heard from Infinity designs back in the 1970s) - Hey, whatever floats your boat as they say.
I have a pair of these about 2 years old performing magic tricks in my living room. I'm not sure what the limits of these things are really. I'm so happy with these speakers. I recently placed my two mono amps, power regenerator, and DAC each on a IKEA Aptileg (sp?) ~17"x20" butcher blocks on top of two 5"x7" cork mats. All but the DAC have some museum putty between the feet and block. I wasn't ready for that improvement. I thought it would be minor, but man what an improvement. More clarity and solidity across the range. Not bad for $100 after a couple of coupons my wife happened to have with her. equipment: Tekton Moab 4ohm bi-wireable, PS Audio M700 amps, Gustard A26 direct XLR to the amps, PS Audio P3 Regenerator. Roon using the DAC's built-in endpoint.
It's always more trustworthy to hear reviews from owners rather than YT reviewers most of them are Influencers who seldom criticize the equipment they review. I didn't hear from you mentioning any cons or downsides of these speakers. Maybe you did in your other videos.
Hi Kevin, I am looking for a tall tower set for my parasound a21+ mono blocks which provide 1000wpc each, I want a laid back and relaxed sound with a lot of low end punch, somehow forgiving with heavy metal harsh recordings. Would you say that these Tektons are my best option? Can’t stand the analytical sound of hiend modern speakers anymore.
Could I ask you please..... Did the manufacturer threaten you with legal action if you didn't like the speakers? He is known to do this. Please think about removing any Tekton content if you feel this behaviour is wrong. Thanks
