You know that Telemark means I can't turn in Scandinavia. And Randonne means I can't ski in France. Why walk when you can hop? Alpine turns are for those who can't do either.
Looks like plastic boots. I'm curious, what's the waist width of your skis (underfoot) and do you think this would work as well with leather boots and lightweight old school tele bindings but with the same skis?
Sorry for the late reply, these skis are the Völkl Kendo, and I believe they are 88 under foot. In general i would recommend using plastic boots with a ski this stiff. Skis that are constructed with multiple layers of metal generally need a plastic boot for power transfer. A leather boot setup with softer skis (wood core etc) but the same width underfoot would be fine. When considering leathers it’s more about the power needed to flex the ski, and less about width or dimensions. Hope that helps.
Yes! We are having a 2 day event at Stevens Pass. Saturday is a chill hangout and ski day, Sunday will be a Classic Telemark Race event with clinics, tele rentals, and lots of fun. All people of all disciples are welcome!
