Wonderful performance of a magnificent piece. Several contemporary musicians - including Telemann's student Johann Christoph Graupner, Johann Georg Piesendel, and Johann David Heinichen - have taken up elements of Telemann's work. Other composers such as Gottfried Heinrich Stolzel soon imitated them. Other students from the Hamburg period, to whom Telemann did not teach instrumental craft, but "stylistics", are Jakob Wilhelm Lustig, Johann Hewet, Christoph Nickelman, Jakob Schuback, Johann Christoph Schmigel, Caspar Daniel Kron and Georg Michael Telemann. Telemann's Polish influences inspired Karl Heinrich Graun to emulate him; Johann Friedrich Agricola studied from Telemann's works in his youth. Johann Friedrich Fach, Johann Joachim Quantz and Johann Bernhard Bach also specifically mentioned Telemann as a model for some of their works. From the handwritten notes he added to Telemann's manuscripts, it is clear that Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach studied and performed many of his compositions. Telemann's lively friendship with Handel was expressed not only in the fact that Telemann performed several of Handel's stage works in Hamburg - some with his own interludes - but also in the fact that in later years Handel often used themes from Telemann in his own compositions. Johann Sebastian Bach made copies of several of Telemann's cantatas and introduced his son Wilhelm Friedemann to his music in a piano booklet written especially for him. The music book that Leopold Mozart prepared for Wolfgang Amadeus contains eleven minuets and Telemann's Fantasia for Piano. The piano style of both Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart sometimes resembles Telemann's writing style.
Une petite cantate mais une grande reussite que je découvre pour la premiere fois. Une realisation tout en finesse qui donne envie de mieux connaitre ce repertoire. Merci!
