Seminal 1970's NY scene survivors TELEVISION rock out the Carnegie Music Hall in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania on September 25th, 2015. Besides most of what you would expect from their back catalog (aside from GLORY which was being called out from the audience) a jammed out version of Psychotic Reaction was a highlight. #televison #tomverlaine #warhol

Totally agree. What a tremendous musician, lyricist and singer Tom Verlaine is. His band, Television, helped CBGB become the birth of punk rock and his guitar solos were mainstays on all of Patti Smith's hit singles. Do yourself a favor and listen to his solo album Flash Light.

Just posted below this one with kudos for the band and especially Richard's playing. But wanted to add...regarding Richard Lloyd's guitar style, he gets profound "vibrato-tremolo" with his hand. He's so widely skilled. I'll see him and his own band this Saturday 5/7/22 at The Mohawk Club in Buffalo, New York (so proud of my nephew, Colin Pratt, who's opening with his Band "Nervous System"). -Doug Pratt, Atlanta, Georgia, USA

@@ClevelandLiveMusic Yes but bands like Talking Heads were also "in between" until around 1982 and the upload to the mainstream. But the obvious is all too true: it is tragic the band never reached the fame and popularity of other CBGBs bands like Blondie or Talking Heads when in fact they surpassed them, or, had a three-way tie with Johnny's Heartbreakers and of course The Ramones: and all three of these very different bands "should have" in a world honoring depth and feeling surpassed the FM shit-piles of the same era, like Foreigner, Journey, Toto, Kansas: Holy Orpheus what was so wrong with the industry as to NOT SEE that Television, The Heartbreakers, The Ramones were vastly superior to the bland-fiers getting airplay and selling out LA's Forum or NY's MSG?!
