Tell Me About Your Rhinebeck Sweater 2018 

I've attended Rhinebeck twice back in the early 2000's, I have since moved, and your video has put the knitting mojo back into my life. I had a fire (2006) that destroyed my entire home and I lost everything. I'm going to attend Rhinebeck again in 2019 and I'm hoping to come across the amazing wonderful loving people who sent me knitting gifts to build up my stamina and start knitting again. Its been awhile, but I have started knitting again. Just watching all of these talented people has thrusted me into the next level of what a have missed. Thank you Kristy (I'm coming with my sweater)

I would love to learn to sew. I see so many people with dresses under their knits and love that look. Thank you Kristy for sharing another Show me your Rhinebeck sweater...it's so much fun for those of us who cannot attend.

I got so much joy from watching your video. Thank you for your enthusiasm. I am a blueprint member/subscriber and I do love all the access to all of the videos. Lately weaving and embroidery are calling my name. I’m glad they have so many classes now in those areas and more.

I love bluprint. I was so excited in February when Craftsy Unlimited became available. I signed up for the year subscription because I already loved the classes I had purchased and wished I could get more and I have used it for so many things! Okay, so I'm 3 years in the future of this video and oh my gosh it was SO much fun. I love the way you edited it to combine sweaters of the same patterns in ALL the creative ways people made them. So much creativity, so much beauty, so many happy people. Thank you.

I used to live in NY the Bronx and moved down south to Georgia. I started knitting in NY but only really got into knitting since moving down south. I cried so much watching this video because I'm so proud of everyone for all of their accomplishments and wish I could have been there to share in all the fun. My only regret is that I didn't knit sooner. Loved this video and so glad you made it for all of us who couldn't be there.

I finally got to watch your video. It brought back all of the excitement I had at Rhinebeck. It was like a memory recap. What a great weekend. Somehow we missed you Kristy but the video was so great to watch. Thanks for all of your work.

Thank you, Kristy for making this amazing and fun video at Rhinebeck this year. It was amazing to see all the variations of the sweaters gathered in one place. I think if I had Blueprint I would try and improve my spinning skills beyond the basics. I also would pursue learning more about sewing with knit fabrics into garments.

Kristi, this was such a joy to watch. I literally teared up a few times as some of those you interviewed were so excited to meet you and I could feel their excitement. I was particularly touched by those whose it was their first sweater ever and what a moment that was for them to sgare tgeir first creation with the world. I was so proud of everyone..such a sisterhood. For my creative blueprint I would like to learn to embroider, sew and weave. Lots of crafty dreams on hold right now with 3 little kids and a baby..but knitting and your hilarious videos keep me going!

So great to watch this, it took me two days and I didn't knit because I didn't want to miss anything. It was all fantastic but I loved the little kids and the lady who learned to knit watching you and the Knitters League! Even my husband was tearing up while I was telling him about her. I was using the show to find new people on Ravelry, bookmarked a couple of yarn shops and designers and basically have my sweater knitting planned for next year after Christmas. I love that you're on Bluprint now; I'll check out your shows. Fantastic sweater lady! And terrific show!

Very impressive group of knitters and knits.......BUT my favorite was the beautiful lady in the cowboy hat, wearing the green button down sweater with the cherry blossoms and the barn swallow on it. STUNNING!

It was so fun to be able to see all the knitters (and crocheters) proud of their creations. Everyone is so passionate and inspiring! Thank you Kristy! If it wasn't for you and the "tell me about your Rhinebeck sweater" videos I wouldn't even have known about the New York Sheep and Wool festival. My daughter and I sat on the couch knitting and watched the entire 2+ hours video. LOVED every minute :) We are planning to get there next year and are looking for the perfect dual purpose (San Diego/Rhinebeck) sweaters to knit. whoop whoop!

What I would like to add to the creative blueprint of my life is color. I love knitting so much, and when I look at what others are wearing what I love the most is all the color, but when I go to pick colors for a project I always find myself picking very subdued shades of gray, blue and neutrals. I think I just need to make one LOUD colorful project and break the spell! Thanks again for a great show.

I thank you Kristy for your energy and the amount of thought you took into putting this together. You captured a wide variety of knits and projects. AMAZING! I would like to have additional opportunities to share my Bluprint experience with my grand children. I've been on Craftsy for many years and just recently subscribed to Bluprint. My oldest granddaughter, 10, loves to draw and my youngest, 9, love to cook and do anything with her hands. The youngest and I are doing your learn to knit together. I feel this type of class helps to bring family units together for a common goal. My Bluprint dream would be to see more of that.

I moved to Dutchess county five years ago. A new acquaintance told me about the wool and sheep show and I dragged my husband with me to check it out. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think that I would encounter so many hand crafters in one place. The best part...taking home skeins of yarn all spun and dyed locally and at very affordable prices! It was quite an experience! Missed it last year (2018) but will definitely be this this year! Hope to see/meet you there!

Thank you for continuing this tradition! It was wonderful to see everyone sweaters and their joy in sharing them. Only a knitter can understand that finished sweater feeling. I've been loving my Blueprint subscription. I've added sweater knitting and stranded knitting to the Blue Print of my life in 2018. My goal for 2019 is sweater fit (Amy Herzog) and finishing techniques ( Ann Hanson) plus more color work. I've also explored the yarn dying tutorials. Next up photography! So many fun things so little time. Thank you again, I enjoyed this so much!!!

Rhinebeck is always a special weekend - seems to get better each year ! Loved meeting you this year . Im enjoying Bluprint :) If I could add to Bluprint Id love to see more weaving - Rigid heddle opens up potential for using lots of the fingering wt stash yarn knitters have :)) Fabric we create can be used for much more than the shapes that come from the loom ! Once" fulled" , theres gorgeous custom fabric that can be CUT and sewn with . Just as weavers of cloth for clothing did before mass production. For example , A-line or fitted skirts, jackets , vests, coats- all with full shaping. I should add then that a" sewing with your handwoven fabrics class" would be great . Ive not found handwoven clothing thats designed with any cutting out or shaping- results for my aesthetics arent something Id wear. So "An equivalent of "No more fearing the steek" in knitting could open an entirely new way to use handwoven fabrics- There are some different techniques to use with these fabrics. Yet, they are doable, reasonable , and well worth exploring ! I think it presents amazing possibilities !

Great job, Kristy! I always enjoy watching these videos. What I would add to the creative blueprint in my life is the ability to crochet. For some reason I can’t seem to wrap my head around it.

I love your videos Kristy, and this one is amazing. I would love if My Blueprint create a class about those knitting tips you need to know to make a perfect garment, like how to use different sizes for the body and the sleeves, what to do to avoid gauge changes when you knit a yoke with color work, or a lace pattern, how to alternate two skeins of yarn using helix knitting. I’ve learned about those tips watching podcasts, but it would be great if there is a class.

So much fun to watch -- even stretch over three days! I'm going to have Rhinebeck sweater withdrawal (glad I have a sufficient stash in case I need to start knitting something asap!).

I would love to learn more about fixing my knitting mistakes, different cast ons and bind offs and what to use when, and how to understand what my object might look like when looking at different skeins of hand dyed yarn.

Thanks so much for the Rhinebeck sweater video! So fun to see the variety of designs and colors. I am currently making my first sweater for myself. I made one back in the 80's for my sister in law and it was so overwhelming that I didn't knit a garment again. I think info on how to fix problems or how to adjust patterns to fit your body would be great.

My mom sews and she made a lot of clothes for me over the years, including my Sweet 16 dress and my prom dress. I knit and crochet already so I need to add sewing so I never have to shop for clothes again!

I appreciate your time and effort putting this together so so much! I’m constantly pausing to look up the patterns to so many gorgeous sweaters. In the future I would like to get better at modifying knitting patterns to fit my body better, and would also like to be able to do the same with sewn clothes, either making them from scratch or adjusting what I purchase to fit me perfectly.

She is the designer wrote up the February Lady sweater that was all the rage. What fun it is to watch your interviews--you bring the same love and attention to unknown knitters at Rhinebeck as you do when you interview famous designers.
