He replied, "You curse frequently and are ungrateful to your husbands. I have not seen anyone more deficient in intelligence and religion than you. A cautious sensible man could be led astray by some of you." The women asked, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! What is deficient in our intelligence and religion?" He said, "Is not the evidence of two women equal to the witness of one man?" They replied in the affirmative. He said, "This is the deficiency in her intelligence. Isn't it true that a woman can neither pray nor fast during her menses?" The women replied in the affirmative. Salaam alaikum sister, may Allah help us both in this and keep us firm on the Quran and Sunnah according to the understanding of the companions and the first three golden generations. I am also a revert (reverted a year ago) and I haven't told my parents yet but I've been getting majorly verbally abused, but insha'Allah it'll become better. I don't want t come off as someone who's consciously looking for faults, but when we see something sinful we have to correct our Muslim brother/sister cause we want good for them. Note that photography which contain drawings of animate beings like humans or animals are according to the majority of scholars haram and especially cartoons like Avatar or Japanese cartoons are based off shirk ideologies. Shirk only happened if you believe something or someone is equal or better than Allah. I don't think anybody watching avatar commit shirk unless they're still mummayiz If you go to Indonesia, you might shirking every Muslim in java island because their ancestors create some sort of animal statue inside masjid. You might bomb that masjid later because you gonna said they commit shirk. About putting a picture is khilaf among scholar, yes majority said its Haram but scholar who allowed it has reason why it's just makrooh as long as it's not hand drawn or nudity. A note : quraan doesn't says janna lays at your mother's feet , it's only a hadith قال أتيتُ النبيَّ صلَّى اللهُ عليهِ وسلَّمَ ، فقلتُ: يا رسولَ اللهِ إني أريدُ الجهادَ في سبيلِ اللهِ تعالى، فقال: أُمُّكَ حَيَّةٌ؟ فقلتُ: نعمْ، فقال:الزم رجلها فثمَّ الجنَّة He said: I came to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and said: O Messenger of God, I want to wage jihad for the sake of God Almighty. He said: Is your mother alive? I said: Yes, and he said: stick to her feet , and the janna(heaven) is there And there is a weak hadith says janna (heaven) is under moms feet
God ﷻ said: وَقَضَىٰ رَبُّكَ أَلَّا تَعْبُدُوا إِلَّا إِيَّاهُ وَبِالْوَالِدَيْنِ إِحْسَانًا ۚ إِمَّا يَبْلُغَنَّ عِنْدَكَ الْكِبَرَ أَحَدُهُمَا أَوْ كِلَاهُمَا فَلَا تَقُلْ لَهُمَا أُفٍّ وَلَا تَنْهَرْهُمَا وَقُلْ لَهُمَا قَوْلًا كَرِيمًا For your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him. And honor your parents. If one or both of them reach old age in your care, never say to them ˹even˺ ‘ugh,’ nor yell at them. Rather, address them respectfully. [17:23] وَوَصَّيْنَا الْإِنْسَانَ بِوَالِدَيْهِ حُسْنًا ۖ وَإِنْ جَاهَدَاكَ لِتُشْرِكَ بِي مَا لَيْسَ لَكَ بِهِ عِلْمٌ فَلَا تُطِعْهُمَا ۚ إِلَيَّ مَرْجِعُكُمْ فَأُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ We have commanded people to honor their parents. But if they urge you to associate with Me what you have no knowledge of, then do not obey them. To Me you will ˹all˺ return, and then I will inform you of what you used to do. [29:8]

You should remove any photos or images of any living things like human images or animals images which is decorative in your house or at least in your room or just cover it, because prophet Muhammad said that the angel won't come if there's an image of any living things.

Thanks for uploading! My Shia friend was murdered by Jihadis of his own community in 2016. The incident made me to do a lot of research about islam, read contemporary Arabia of those times, Muhammad's life, islamic conquest and Jihad. I read Quran / Hadith (compilation by Al S Bukhari - English Transliteration). And Quran gave me the insight into why my Shia friend, a modern global citizen, a compassionate human being!! Why a young wife of him with 6month old child lost her husband for just being a person with modern outlook!! Quran is VERY cruel to other faith followers, atheists, those who leave islam, gays and lesbians, women and dogs!! Quran makes 50% of muslims (females) to be born and live as property of other 50%muslims (males). Muslim men are OK to sell women, exchange women for payment of difference in maintenance money!! Where muslim females and dogs move around the place, NAWAAZ (prayer) of muslim man at that location would not be acceptable to Allah! In that sense, and in many of the verses the way Allah threatens the faith followers, Allah can be pictured as very narrow minded god for sure! YOU WOULD HAVE BEEN VERY SMART, IF YOU HAD ASKED YOUR LOVER, WHY HE CAN'T CONVERT TO CHRISTIANITY OR ALLOW YOU TO REMAIN A CHRISTIAN OR ATHEIST!! Well, sometimes hormonal simulation drives the mind to act blind and that is why they say, FALLING IN LOVE (not waking up in love!). Let us hope that the man who married you, remain sane, doesn't push you to become a breeding machine to deliver 20 off jihadi children, instead allows you to remain as modern global citizen!! Be aware of your surroundings, MAKE SURE THAT YOU READ QURAN (AL S BUKHARI COMPILATION - CONSIDERED THE MOST AUTHENTIC) with open mind that you learned other humanity subjects (if you did I mean!).
