Thanks for this.., Some of the people commenting seem to think one can no longer purchase freehold land in Ghana post the land Act 2020.. Actually, you can if it is private land, previously registered as freehold . I clarified this with lands commission. The leasehold restriction applies to family and stool lands or new unregistered lands coming to the market post the land Act 2020. If it is private land, already registered as freehold, then the interest can be reassigned to a Ghanaian as freehold too.. As a matter of fact, I purchased and registered freehold land myself, the process started in 2022 and ended early 2024.
I grew up, schooled and 😂😂married in Tema but currently resident in Houston, Texas. Tema is only harbor city in GH that was authentically built from the scratch from a well planned communities and industrial areas. My childhood city road and streets layouts is a plus. A city of well situated schools (elementary through Secondary, technical and Vocational schools). It’s about 18 miles to the capital Accra & also the main harbor. I love the harbor.
