Tema Senior High School also called Temasco was stablished on 22nd September, 1961, is the oldest secondary school in the Tema Metropolis. The establishment of the school was spearheaded by its first Headmaster, the renowned Historian and Writer, Educationist and former Politician, FK Buah whose bust still welcomes you at the entrance of the school’s first Assembly Hall.
It is said in the 1960’s before one would be admitted in the school, the fellow would have to be subjected to some rigorous interview session in order to make sure the brightest students were chosen. The school runs five programmes: Business, General Arts, General Science, Visual Arts and Home Economics.
Well, the following Musician Kwesi Arthur, Actress Roselyn Ngissah, Comedian and Actor Clemento Suarez, Broadcast Journalist Umaru Sanda of Citi FM and Mr. Senyo Hosi, CEO, Ghana Chamber of Bulk Oil Distributors, the current Chairman of Church of Pentecost, Apostle Eric Kwabena Nyamekye are all anchorites.
