I remember that the propaganda of GIC was aired b4 the presidential elections...............U know that the propaganda mentioned that GIC owned Broadgate. The FACT is that GIC only owns 50% of Broadgate for 1.70 Billion pound sterling & had subsequently bought another office development in London I think around 2018 ALL losing $$$. Not forgetting also the drop in sterling against the Sing $.................pity the so-called oppos hv only been interested in their wayanging...........for me, all the info I've based my comments on are in the PUBLIC DOMAIN............the wayang party MPs & their acolytes/sycophants are just good @ snake oil spiel. Oh Broadgate remains in the control of British Land.

they need to make a series on GIC and temasek's most catastrophic and hilarious missteps..... most economics and finance channels would have a field trip..... the greatest one being 10 billion dollar USD bond investment in UBS. when the swiss sold SG govt a colossal bag of odourous excrement right just before the market fell out in 2008, and structured it in such a brilliant way that greed overtook the fools at temasek and GIC and fell for it hook line and sinker and didnt even suspect for a minute why the deal was too good to be true..... of course the swiss probably knew what they were doing. the UBS bond sales was a masterstroke of genius for the swiss.....i have to applaud them.....they should be the ones running temasek and GIC , maybe our countries would have 10% annualised returns and Singapore wouldnt have to sell itself so much and import so many
Anyone can make marketing videos, but why did Temasek make such disastereous investments in crypto exchanges? Among other bad investments and laundering.

I believe TH derives most of its "profits" from its ownership of LOCAL companies, listed or otherwise, like SP services, PSA etc...........when TH first published its "annual review" in 2005, I had called on MOF to breakup TH into local and foreign ownership so that sinkies could better understand TH' claimed increased in asset value - due a lot to govt injection., but MOF steadfastly refused. As anyone can see, there is a huge price sinkies and SGP have to pay for the unmitigated disasters @ TH & GIC.........too bad. To repeat the Robinson sale advert: "once its gone, it's gone".
Temasek Holdings seems to be caught in a cycle of bad and inept decision making. In a country which brooks no failure, it is a wonder that despite the failings of the past few years, no one - at all - in the sovereign wealth fund has been held responsible.
Go check the returns since inception, dont concentrate on the past few years, we had the pandemic, SWF needs to manage diplomacy too, we invested in china which is not doing well, can we remove all our investment and not get any diplomatic spat? Go join a hedge fund, prove your worth

Wayang party's Low Thia Khiang had been MP since 1991 until the 2020 GE. He said that his party was a "co-driver" of the PAP. As for Sylvia Lim of the same party, she has been NCMP since 2006 & MP since 2011. They are, in my view, more interested in luxuriating in their $16k monthly MP allowance than to hold MOF/TH/GIC into a/c. That's why I called the pple sinkies for their line hook and sinker swallow of the propaganda and the snake oil cons. Too bad, sinkies now pay a heavy price, including, but not limited to preventable DEATHS & undue sufferings/hardships etc
