Wow, thank you for this very informative video. Tempera paint is cheap and is therefore accessible. Tempera, unlike oil paint, cannot be applied too thickly and hence lacks the rich coloration of oils. Tempera paintings, on the other hand, are extremely durable and the colors do not fade with age, unlike oil paints, which tend to darken or lose color with age. It dries quickly and creates a smooth matte look when dry.

I’m new to tempera paints cuz acrylic gives my fiancée a headache 😖 this video was extremely helpful for a non-teacher like me! I REALLY appreciate what you said about being mindful and knowing the population of your students. 💯
