It was just if no even more intense back on the terracing days. Before you were born tbh. Can remember standing on the choir at Brockville about 95 was Noo that’s intense and we relegated D/Milne Lol there was a whole minibus of fans from Fife.
@@BlairMcNally Naw mate the rivalry was always as intense well before Norrie McCarthy died, go look up the history of Super Tuesday also some bias in your reporting as you only noted the instances of Falkirk fans, you neglected the matches 2 seasons prior when Dunfermline fans threw bananas and made monkey noises because Falkirk had a black player.
That ground must have twice the capacity of Bournemouths’ Dean Court Ground . Scotland looks like a great place to be. It’s as if folk there are Friendly even when they’re angry or skint . South coast England is full of wealthy people whom rarely manage a smile - unless they’re showing off having just forked out 5 k at the Dentist . The Pubs in your country must be mental 😄🏴❤️
@@BlairMcNally if the house opposite gets bought by another arrogant tosser like the one next to it , we’re off and Scotland will be top of the list . This twat moved in and the very first night came knocking to ask or tell my son not to park opposite their house because it’s too difficult for his missus to reverse out. They’ve had trades going in & out for 2 years because he’s trying to run an extension build which has doubled the size of the place . He must be worth a bloody fortune yet is a miserable bastard. They all move out of London & Surrey and believe they own the place but won’t even say hello when putting bin bags out on a Wednesday night. If you say hello to folk whom walk past your gate half of them look at the ground or ignore you. I know we could be in much worse places but being overrun by miserable ignorant Tossers with hundreds of thousands to spend on their poxy homes whom treat us indigenous as shite is driving us away. End of Rant. Cheers fella 😁
Blair hi, many thanks from an Irish League supporter for uploading this video, I thoroughly enjoyed watching it, tremendous pre-match build-up, terrific context and history setting, interviews and coverage, a dimension to a lower league in Scotland that doesn’t receive much coverage. Glentoran and Celtic’til I die.
Believe it or not there was a miners strike over 100 years ago in Scotland and the miners from the Falkitk area were still on strike, and miners were bused ( or possibly carted) in from fife and that's where some people said it stems from it was a fife thing not specifically a Dunfermline( it us now mind you)thing, apparently Falkirk fans had a banner declaring that the fifers were scabs at the 1913 cup final against Raith Rovers.
As was said, the rivalry goes way back to the 70's in football but started in the 60's when F*lkirk mobs turned up to Dunfermline Ice Rink and there were battles most Saturdays. This carried on into football as the 1970's progressed.
That’s exactly how it happened thanks mate these young mob know nothing also used to kick off at the night club was it called Rainbow Rocks?in Dumfermline
Barely 60% full for a Dunfermline-Falkirk game - there were times when East End Park would be full capacity for those games. The atmosphere with terraces were 100% better - the home and away fans being separated by the ‘cage’.
Both clubs big clubs compared to the Highland clubs and Livingston , The late great Jock Stein managed Dunfermline and Falkirk Fc are traditionally a decent Scottish Club, the rivalry between the two sets of fans is more intense than it is between Dunfermline v Raith Rovers
Nice video, had no idea about the derby between these 2. Great atmosphere and interesting to learn the background to them rivalry. Not good to see the idiots fighting, but all in all, great video.
Big rivalry yet no police to be seen lol ,proper rivalry cannot be left without dibble because obviously,if there's drunk young lads around with hatred in them ,we've seen deaths in these scenarios, hope it all went well today and just heavy banter 🏴
Dunfermline a massive town? You can sesh all the pubs in a day! Ah, maybe when you consider all the houses being built on the outskirts, right enough. Town centre itself is tiny.
Blair mate love all your videos but come down to bristol city vs willem ll we are friends and both have ultras see you there if you go as im a part of bristol citys section 82 ultras
Guys from Sheffield 😂😂 aye right! You never mentioned Super Tuesday or Wonderful Wednesdays...but then again you wouldn't since you were in the fifer end 😂
I'm a Fifer and hate, Dunfermline. It is already, Carnegie funded, but always gets everything, in Fife. While the rest of Fife, is in severe economic decline. Has been, for years.
When Norrie Mccarthy died of carbon monoxide poisoning the Falkirk fans within a few days were singing songs about British Gas at their home matches, ,
The Rivals start in 1960s.. both teams had won Scottish cup twice and they all way played in same league..and both history towns and we are city nows.. they jealous of our glory European cup semifinals in 1960s ..?
This rivalry started long before norries death, no mention of the racist abuse pars fans used to give former Falkirk player Richard caddet pars fans are a joke
@BlairMcNally Dunblane is a lot closer to Falkik than Dunfermline so we're claiming him as one of our own, mind you he's actually a Hibbie,so the fly fifers can keep him
@@BlairMcNally moved from glenrothes to Sheffield a few years ago but keep upto date on fife teams and seen the fights on line. More like handbags at ten paces
Dunfermline were off the boil for first 45 and yous still couldn't beat us.. Falkirk fans seem to think they were owed something from this game. As much as dunfermline had a bad first half. Falkirk were BANG average the whole game. Horrible little club
@@CraaigMaac94 watching that game gave me a lot of confidence for the rest of the season, if that’s the team that are unbeaten we’ve got nothing to worry about
@@lordred4116 who are half decent? Celtic, Rangers, Hearts and Hibs?? Rangers and Celtic would hold their own in the Premier League and be pushing for Europe after a few year with the money they’d get. The size of both clubs plus the fan bases mean players would want to go to them.
About as exciting as a welly full of porridge. When the penalty was awarded, so called supporters turned their backs and missed the only goal their team scored. I'll give this mess 2-5.
