Therefore, the television screen is part of the physical structure of the brain. Therefore, whatever appears on the television screen emerges as raw experience for those who watch it. Therefore, television is reality, and reality is less than television.
Easily one of the greatest bits of music from any videogame. The fact that it happens to be one of the best games every does help to be honest! Love this...
This song reminds me of the transition from high school to college in 2009. Those late nights binge watching Nintendo nerd episodes I missed from 2006 to mid-2009. Good times.
Dude, when i first heard this, I was watching an AVGN vid on how sucky the Atari Jaguar was, and when this came up, i thought it was cool! Im glad they made this soundtrack! "Play... The television, is the retina, of the minds eye..." Great song and good vid. Thx for uploading!
They are all really good games. The bad games in the Jag library get overblown. Club Drive, SuperCross 3D, and Trevor McFur are the only truly bad ones I can think of. Most 3d stuff, like with all these systems, has aged poorly but is still neat from a technical standpoint.
I had the Atari Jaguar, bought it when it came out. Didn't get many games for it. Doom was ok, but way better on PC. Tempest 2000 kicked ass. Awesome game. And the whole soundtrack was really good. Good, fast gameplay, with lots of explosions, lots of color, and great music. Would love to have this game, today. Tempest X for the Playstation was almost as good, but not as much, because the music was different.
Music was the same, it's just that the Jag used MOD files while the PSX version used the version on the CD soundtrack, exact same just sound slightly different since it was MP3 instead of MOD
What made you decide to buy the Atari Jaguar? I'm just curious is all, it looked like it was a good system at first thanks to the ads and it DID produce some good games.
oh, i misinterpreted the question, yes this IS the soundtrack of the game, but it is pre-recorded (i tought you were asking if the jaguar itself would synthesize these sounds, of course not hahah)
Anyone else here have Tempest 2000 on CD-Rom for the PC? You could put the disc in a CD player and it'd play the songs for you... I remember my brother and I rocking out to this back in the day
This is kickass. Sucks that the best version of T2K is said to be on Jaguar. Really wished someone can make a remaster of this with some upscaling and pixel perfect visuals.
Already exists and it's available on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch (and yes, it includes the entire Tempest 2000 soundtrack), it's called Tempest 4000. It's basically an HD improved version of Tempest 2000, and it only costs $20 dollars digitally or physically.
I prefer the jag version due to smoother optimized frame rates and optimized controls compared to the dos version even in emulation with BigPEmu the jag version remains supreme
@118159267144376649983 This video was uploaded back in mid 2010, there was a widespread youtube glitch back in the day that added these extra minutes of fodder to the end to a TON, and i mean A.TON. of videos at that time. Remember "cutoff prevention" at the end of videos? Yeah that's the inverse of the same glitch made by youtube.
@andrevus2 well there is a slight difference though from the Atari Jaguar version though (probably due sound limitations), hence why people think the soundtrack is a different arrangement.
@acchuky I love the AVGN's vids! I cant wait for the movie... I hear he'll review ET on atari in it, though ive never had the pleasure of playing it myself... As for tempest, im suprised it only came out for Atari Jaguar and Sega Saturn... Ive been trying to find emulators for it, but none seem to work on my computer.... any advice?
The Prodigy (first 3 albums) The Future Sound of London (first album especially) Also just search "90s breakbeat mix" or "90s breakbeat playlist" from youtube Channels: Vitallieb Vitallieb2 Juandibreakbeat
@Traductus5972 who knows what you heard i got this disc with the game and the DOS version of this game doesn't have music without this disc thats why i know this is not a remix
This track is awesome but i never liked the design of the atari jaguar, not mention, it looked like it was designed with the CD addon in mind, as if that CD addon was not an aftertout, was it?
@static1994 I actually do have advice. There IS a DOS port of it for the PC! only that it lacks the music files if you can't find them all in wave format because the MIDI versions included are terrible
oh man its a can This is classic trance music I think btw but with breakbeats. Look for oldschool trance from 1990-1996. Not the stuff that came after. This could also be hardtrance.
@acchuky Ordinarily, neither am i. I usually prefer the Console ports of games rather than pc, but Im not ready to shell out for a sega saturn or an atari jaguar just on the off chance i might find a working copy. Id prefer a download or flash game.
