The Exhausted King Richard and his Valiant Knights singing hymns while marching on the outskirts of the Holy Land under heavy cold rain, by now they realized they could not hold Jerusalem even if they captured it. So they fatefully decided to march back to Jaffa while singing like this to soothe their heavy hearts..

I was an atheist in the past, but thanks to a person who talked about God with me, using words different from the words everyone used to fight with me for being an atheist, I came to believe and realize the true presence of God in my life. That person talked about science, and when I said that God did not exist, the person told me that God does not need to exist, because it was God who created the concept of existence. God is infinitely beyond the laws of the universe and we are not able to understand the presence of God, but God is who he is, even though we, mere beings in the universe, are not able to understand this. I may not understand, but I feel the presence of God. I am infinitely grateful to the person who explained this to me, because he saved my life.....

That opening reminded me of boot camp. Best and worst days of my life The march back from the Crucible. It was early morning, but still black as night and it was pouring rain, and faint thundering. All you can hear is the sound of rain, hundreds of heavy footsteps, the clanking of gear, and the voices of hundreds of soon-to-be Marines singing cadence. This was a truly unforgettable experience in my life and this almost captures that perfectly.

We have St.Annes well and St Annes RC Church that has a black statue of Anne, it was a place of pilgrimage and still is. You immerse yourself in this music with a medieval breath, pure and unashamed to be so wonderful.

This is great, i've found your channel recently and i can say that there has been a significant improvement in the quality of your videos, as you have also been really receptive to feedback. So, perhaps i can share some, as well :) In my opinion, a way to up the realism of the marching would be to add multiple channels of regular marching sounds that go at different speeds, not too different though, but just enough so that sometimes they will syncronize, sometimes they won't - basically, what you already have now, but duplicated and at different speeds. This would probably give a more natural and less "robotic" feel of the footsteps. Same can be done with the horse footsteps - also horse neighing and other lower sounds that a horse would make ( i don't know what they are called but could be considered growling i suppose ) would also be of help. If they were present already then upping the volume just a tad to be more hearable and alternating between types of neighting would be perfect. Other sounds than that, like " clink and clanks " of different parts of the equipment hitting each other, like scabbards hitting shields on the back or in hand, would probably do more harm than good as they can't really be heard that much anyway (or rather, it depends where the marching is heard from ) and would only bloat the sound overall in my opinion, but you could experiment if you want and see if that really is the case or not. That's just my two cents though, perhaps the sound of regular marching ( as in footsteps at regular intervals ) is better for a relaxation effect rather than a realistic one, who knows, and it also depends on what you want to do and your own vision, but i think this is great as well already as it stands and i do enjoy it a lot - the choice of the songs are also very appropriate and fits well, so keep up the great work ! :)

For all those unfamiliar with the chants, the "ora pro nobis" one, is actually meant to be a 'conversation', not a 'monologue'. The master, in this case would be the highest rank in the templar formation, sings the different titles given to the Virgin Mary, while all together answer with the "ora pro nobis". So you will hear this part as a unified chorus through all the ranks. Chills going down my spine thinking of it.

I love listening to these! I'm no sound expert but to create the sound of individual voices marching by you could subtly change the volume of different frequencies of sounds to simulate different people singing passing by. Just a suggestion! Will be listening either way!
