With the thermium and the resin stuff - really all the late game tech - I'd like to see what setups you can simplify or eliminate in your colonies. Might get you some frames back too?

Speaking about thermium and new ideas, I'd like to take this opportunity to talk about -our Lord and Savior Francis John- an idea for a new series. Namely, the minibase series using base game only. I know we already pondered this option, but I'd like to highlight a few key advantages: 1. It's base game only, and there are quite a few players out there who are not using Spaced Out (for a multitude of reasons). These days those players get almost no new content to watch on YT. 2. Since it's a minibase, there will be no lag and you can go nuts with slicksters/pacu/voles, etc. Not to mention you will be able to record/edit video much easier, with far more done per episode. 3. There are only a handful of minibase playtroughs on YT, so yours will be another rare find. 4. Minibase offers really unique challenges and makes you think out of the box to fit stuff into a box (hehe). A lot of classic and go-to builds from regular game are no longer viable.

Is it possible to build a refueling station on Freezola or Floodina? Also why not fire petroleum over to Freezola and use it to power the radbolt generator(s)?

Im fairly new to the series, i joined in like episode 26, but i am already obsessed.

I’d love to see what you do to keep the colony running without heat in the core, if it comes to that. Repurpose heat from volcanos, I suppose; but I’d love to see how you’d implement it. That, or show an evacuation of a colony. Move into a new base on a new planetoid, and build that one to support your entire home colony.

I recommend (not necesarily using the thermium) that you should do the THING. I heard rumours from lots of people that the THING is very fun and it teaches multiple life lessons (but for ONI, lol). Would you like to find out more about the THING or maybe even consider doing the THING in your playthrough? I sure bet you'll have fun!

I hate to say it, but I never use Insulation or Thermium nowadays. Nuclear power has trumped sour gas boilers, and I don't need insulation melters for tungsten. Generating power isn't a challenge. I actually see colonization as the endgame in ONI. By midgame, I'm usually drowning in petroleum, and a liquid rocket tank of petroleum can take a remote outpost a long way with a petroleum generator.

You could have tamed all the iron vulcanos to used it for Plug Slug Power. But i guess taming them and ranching the plug slugs might take a long time

Just create a gas station on a few outer planets

About power: melt the ice, build a SPOM, feed the excess hydrogen to a generator and power the radbolt with it. You wil get more hydrogen from the SPOM if you vent its oxygen to space. . Send hot thermium through space and build a steam turbine to harvest the heat. . Wrangle my neighbour's cat, that creature has too much energy at 4 a.m.

What I did on that planet was make one giant steam box out of the 4 iron volcanos and put a nuclear reactor in it to provide power. You dont have to bring much enriched uranium to make that system work long enough to open the tear and after that the iron volcanos with solar make enough power to ship the iron back home without the nuclear power

Hey, I recently found your channel when a friend recommended your 50 dupe challenge, and it's gotten me back into playing ONI! I'm always super intimidated by the different systems you have to set up in this game to not kill your colony, but watching you play makes me feel like I can give it another go. Your demeanor is super friendly and open and it made binge-watching this series a real joy. I watched through this whole playlist and was sad that I got to what I thought was the end of the series, only to find out I just happened to catch up to you in real-time! Can't you transport Uranium or Nuclear Falloutto the Planetoid to quickly charge the TTO quicker? Or maybe send a rocket with a radbolt storage? Wheezeworts is for slow, sustainable production back home. Not for a high power use.

If you could get some plug slugs there, feed them the iron, charge battery banks at night and collect hydrogen for MORE power.

Power Generator from those 4 Volcanoes; plus you've now got enough metal to feed some useful pets; send those over and get them established on your new base.

hey echo, whit thermium you can make a sour gasboiler and whit the super coolend go for liquid oxygen/hydrogen rockets, or poluded water to dirt and sand cooker. just some idee. good luck and till the next video.

how about making infinte heat source out of it and making an infinite energy? i' talking about heat duplication by automatic doors.

probably a bit less focus on the main (two) asteroid. you had entire unused ones, some with probably free power sources, if nothing else,lots of space for wild trees making free wood for free energy for any job, like powering a radbolt reactor.

20:26 I'd go all in on ice world. Set up steam turbines running off the iron volcanoes, and then install a research reactor to fuel the radbolt needs. I need to get that research reactor achievement sooner or later.

Why don't you ship radbolts via rocket from your main planetoid.

Space echo speculates about using cold, hard water to feed liquid hydrogen and liquid oxygen.

I used to set up "gas stations" on planets within 9 tiles. Use it to "hop" to the edges. I also made a delivery rocket that just went to the different stations and refilled the tanks and oxlite

Great video as usual, can you fit a large liquid tank full of petroleum on a rocket and just use 1 or 2 petroleum generators?

Would it be practical to shoot petroleum through the interplanetary launchers?

There is quite a bit of oil lying around on the ground on that planetoid... mop it up and feed it to a petroleum generator to power the rad bolt collectors overnight?

Engine tune-up might help reduce the number of cycles dupes will have to run on wheels. Or may make coal generators more efficient. Maybe even worth sending petroleum over.

Digging the idea of the milk runs to the ice asteroid to feed the LOX/LH2 system. Would be interesting to see just how much excess fuel you would get to see if it's a sustainable late-game option for those water-challenged runs that pop up every now and then

can you make a tasty sandwitch with thermium and visco-gel, aka upgrade the kitchen by making the deep freezer a ice age freezer or something, and speaking of the kitchen, can you change the pixel pack background from black and yellow checkerboard to brightest blue lining and pastel pink walls, it's lest straining on the eyes, and the new colors speak "kitchen" more than the current ones that scream "bumble bee"

I recommend shooting coal or natural gas over to the frost planet to power the radbolt generators. Okay I'll wait until the video is done And of course you addressed it lol My latest preferred method is using natural gas with an automated receiving station. Natural gas compresses really well In cargo pods
