Temporary Tyre Repair - $5 Note Tyre Boot

Fixing a torn tyre using a D.I.Y. tyre boot. This was my first ride back from visiting the UK and bang, the tyre is toast. This gives me the opportunity to try a temporary fix I'd heard about, but never attempted - using a note to boot the tyre.

Good one JW. Smart tip. Mind you I now ride tubeless ready, any thoughts as to what I should consider as emergency essentials for this type of tyre setup?

Hi Suresh, I’ve never actually ridden tubeless. I believe you can boot the tyre from the inside using a tubeless tyre repair kit. Thats probably a more permanent option than my $5 note, which is really only enough to limp home on!
