I had this problem with my 2023 Mk8. It does hide behind the cruise control setting for some unknown reason, but it also appears elsewhere on the panel when I shut down after a trip.
I'm doing this backward - I bought the light yesterday and I'm now watching your review - doh! I share your early opinions about this light so far; it has the hallmarks of a quality product so I hope that long term use bears that out. Many thanks for your thorough 'unboxing/initial use' review, seems like I've made a good choice. I don't think you make much of its powerbank facility which, whilst not to be relied upon, could get one out of a sticky situation some time - nice to have. As I write, it's four years on since your (still valid) review and I'm a bit surprised that Knog haven't gone for USB-C with this yet.
@@muddydog6605 The mount is of pretty good quality but the thumbscrew used to tighten it to the bracket came out on mine. Luckily, I still had the light, but had to buy a new mounting bracket and I've now attached a tether incase it happens again. Excellent light, power bank more of a nice to have - mounting options need some work. Hope this helps.
