This video documents the alignment of Frames 4 - 12 to the Strongback Waterline. Temptress is a wooden runabout designed by Dan Lee BoatBuilding. @DanLeeBoatbuilding
Super helpful. I’m thinking about some engineered lumber for my strongback (a builder friend can order specific lengths for me). Overkill? Great tip on frame 9, too.
The keel and stringers aren't straight sections of LVL but specifically made to fit this boat. I very much doubt you can order that exact shape and bend, It would not be of much use i'm afraid.
Thank you, Mark. I love your comments. As for the strongback, the MDF board seems plenty strong to me. What is most important is that you use 3/4” thick material, otherwise the you have to adjust the position of the rings.
Mark - Have you started building Temptress? If so, we should connect on the Dan Lee Boatbuilding forum. You can never have too many friends for a project like this.
