I just wish there was an item I can use to increase the rate of battles. One advantage Pokemon has now is how they removed random battles, so, if I wanna fight, the process is a lot easier. As it stands, I do enjoy the whole, 5% appearance rate thing, creates those endorphins But I'd love it if I could INCREASE the number of random battles. We already have scent to reduce battles...

Why would anyone breed 2 luma's together? 1/60 chance but they can only breed about 7 times. Doesn't seem useful at all

I'm disabled and spent some of my birthday money on Temtem and I have zero "Ragerts" for doing so. It's absolutely a lovely game and I appreciate how active the devs are. It just sucks it'll probably be Winter of this year before we can catch the other two starters. 😭

I like the changes from Pokemon, gives you some more tactic with resting and all, but I must say, I really hate the whole fertility business, it is very unforgiving, especially because even if you do everything right, you might just get unlucky and don't get the values you actually need. I get why they do it with the Luma Temtem rarity and all, but still, just wish you could've bred them continuously like how you do in Pokemon. Also, another big wish of mine for Temtem is having side features like Pokemon that does not revolve around just using them in combat, but actually letting them *stay*, for example: Contests, Pokeathlon and the like were so great, but were removed the next generation, or 2 generations after at best. Why? :( Prove us that Tem Tems do more than just battling!

Everything about this game feels SO CLOSE to being able to rival or surpass Pokémon, but it just doesn’t quite make it. The only acception being the pronouns and character customization. Like the locations blend in my head a bit, and the Tem Tem feel too similar in color scheme. Maybe if they tweak the hues and saturation. Not only that, but the Tem Tem feel a little soulless. It’s difficult to find a “personality” so to speak within them. Even in the animation that played in the video, it didn’t feel like they were individual creatures, simply mascots. And some of the character designs feel like they need another once over. Though, I still hope this game does well, so those who it has grabbed can feel satisfied that their game can stand a chance against the monolith that is Pokémon.

I'm glad this amazing and ambitious project is going so well! Haven't experienced any glitches so far. Good luck tamers :)

Hello everybody, I wanna discuse the problems with the Exp gain in Coop, why it is a massive problem and how to eventually solve it. Befor i start some short words to me. I bought the game together with my girlfriend, she is relatively new in the gaming scene and i thought TemTem would be the perfect game for us, because i loved Pokemon as a child and she likes the cute looking Tems, the possibilities in Charakter design and overall the whole artstyle. After i played some hours with here i realised that playing Coop gives you a huge disadvantage in the Lategame and is even a problem for having fun in the Campaign. Here is why: Let's say you kill a Temtem in Coop that gives 100Exp then your Temtem gets 50Exp and your partner's Temtem gets 50Exp so your account gets 50Exp. As a solo player if you kill the same 100Exp Tem two Temtems from your team get 50Exp which means your account gets 100Exp Twice as much as a Coop player's account. Thats a fact! In order to play through the campaign as a coop, both players should only train 3 Temtems each, which is boring and means in the Lategame the Coop players have only 3 Temtems each (say for example at lvl 70) compared to the 6Temtems of a Soloplayer which are also lvl 70. This is a huge nerf in the MMO aspect for the Coop players, it is even so huge that i will probably start a new Charakter after i finished playing the game with my girlfriend. So on the one hand one solution would be to buff the Exp gain in Coop x2. On the Other hand i can understand Solo players and why they think this is unfair. There are 2 major problems if you doubble the Exp in Coop. 1. You can lvl up individuall Temtems twice as fast. 2.If both players only lvl 3 Temtems the campaign is much easier for them because they can combine their 3 Temtems and therefore have a team twice as strong as the solo players Team. my conclusion is i think there are better solutions than doubling the exp but doubling the experience points would be a good enough solution. Here is why: If you think about the disadvantages of solo players if you doubble the Exp in Coop, The Second problem isn't a disadvantage for Solo Players because the Campaign is more like an Offline or Lan experince and it doesn't effect other Solo players at all. And the first Problem is a small advantage for Coop players especially in the lategame when you can lvl up new Tems faster as a Coop-team. But in my opinion there should be an small advantage for playing Coop because this game is a MMO!!! And in every good MMO there have to be advantages for Players playing Coop. Otherwise nobody will play Coop. :D I really hope they will buff the Exp gain in Coop in some way, because as i said i will probably resett my Charakter and play the whole Campaign one more time Solo, otherwise I have to grind so much to catch up with solo players and i don't mind grinding but at some point it's just to much of a demotivation, when i think how far i'm behind to a Solo player at that point. I hope you understand my point of view, thanks for reading this and be nice in the comment section we all just want a good and popular game so be nice everyone and as i said there are better solution than just doubleing the Exp lets find the best one! :D

I wish it was impossible to get "all SVs are 50" Temtems. Now you have to spend hours breeding to be able to compete with others and it becomes simply a requirement.

SVs can indeed be changed, i found 2 items that add 1 point each, on atk SV, on a temtem ;P

Any idiot who argues that Temtem is no good because it's too much like Pokemon should let them know that Pokemon stole its core design from Shin Megami Tensei, which was inspired by Battle Cricket. There's nothing new under the sun, children. Or pansun, in this case.

The only thing i don't understand is why this game is an MMO there are no features which justify its always online state. Especially if its coming to the Switch a system that has been praised for its portability. Playing a came as a mmo coop with only 2 people kinda pales in comparison to other MMOs like WoW which can have an upwards of 60 people in a group/raid. this makes me feel like the MMO has been tacked on just to differentiate it from Pokemon but currently does not seem fleshed out to justify it.

As a side note, SV's can be SLIGHTLY modified. There are items that increase specific SVs by one value :) Great guide, very informative!!!

How do you stop a temtem from evolving? I didn't get prompted and the evolution just happened.

I think the presence of a ditto-type Temtem is unnecessary, because natures don't exist. One way to ensure a certain nature on a Pokemon was to use a ditto of that nature as a "mother". So far, there have been plenty of quality of life improvements over Pokemon, but fertility is just baffling. I hope they provide a way to restore it in future patches even if the method is difficult.

One thing I love about Temtem is, that it feels like a Game made by Players. Pokemon always is in a Limbo between what Nintendo wants and what Players want from it.... usually with very one sided outcomes. Personally, I love having super high prices on visual stuff, so it feels like actually earning something to decide on rather than just clearing every store and then pick what one feels like. But I really want my Skates back... D:
