Great team and awesome overview - I was thinking why you would not want to run a slower, more bulkier Zaobian/Raignet since Electropunch synergy make them pretty fast against most stuff anyways. Could you elaborate?

Thank you so much for watching! and of course! let me explain both spreads: with 500 speed TVs, and a +1 from whip chromeon, Zaobian electropunch outspeeds +3 speed Loatle faraday cage. the whip bonus gives fast zaobian a ton of value, and ideally you are changing your type fast enough to resist enemy moves, so you don't need as much bulk. in my opinion, there are 2 viable raignet builds: a slow raignet with 33 Speed SVs to combo with your own deceit aura nagaise (able to sparks before nagaise in deceit aura, and support it with charged iron filings.) and a fast raignet, running 161+ speed so it can outspeed max speed ukama on turn 1, which I run because I think it is a bit better if you are running multiple digitals. my raignet technically runs 165 speed, because I run a fast koish, and I want the option of a permanent sleep combo with my koish hypnosis + raignet charged iron filings. you can see an example of that in this video! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dmrmQGs4XEA.html but eithery way, both my zaobian and raignet underspeed deceit aura nagaise on turn 1 with 1prio electropunch, as long as I don't whip or fast charge them. so I sort of get the best of both worlds. How do you get to the point of just knowing what outspeeds what? You spend time looking up stats during matches? Or do you just naturally get to that point after a boat load of games?

Good question! I started out by having this spreadsheet open during matches, and ctrl+f to search whatever tem I need to speed check docs.google.com/spreadsheets/u/0/d/1JmYPTfrMOdXPG43XKKj5btIaRn3MBWE2ZHENEVyrBcU/htmlview#gid=700954764 And then eventually you will get a general idea of which tems outspeed others, and then just bookmark the sheet if you need to double-check something. technique priority also helps, for example if you know the opponent's tem doesn't have a 3-prio technique available, and you do, there's a good chance you will outspeed them since you will be moving 1.5x faster. this team looks insane , i definitely want to try it out , i just have one question if u can reply to me....on ur zaobian spotlight video u use a lower spd zaobian than this one , do u think its best with 500 spd or 270ish hp and less spd ? ty so much if u will reply , love u man

good question! i think the amount of speed you invest should depend on the rest of your team, and what tems you plan on leading with zaobian. I've opted recently to go for a max speed zaobian, because I like the zaobian + whip chromeon opener. if 500 SPD zaobian gets +1 speed from whip, it will outspeed a +3 max speed loatle (whipped and fast charged by gazuma) and I can counter the loatle cheese with it. otherwise, if you don't plan on running a whip opener, I think 366 SPD is perfectly fine. its fast enough to outspeed ukama on turn 1 with electropunch. and inversely, if you run Whip Gazuma, and only plan on playing zaobian with the speed bonus, you could run even less speed. 254 SPD TVs on a +3 spd zaobian is enough to outspeed amphatyr. tl;dr: think about what openers or partners you plan on running with zaobian, and if they give speed with whip or fast charge assign TVs accordingly. @@Bloonkinogi i see , i really like the sinergy btw chrom + zaobian so i think ill stick witth the 500 spd , if u can i have one last question...looking on ur team i cant quite understand the mudrid purpose...i mean considered the team i think it's usefull for pressure crystals , am i wrong? and if is this his function how can u ever use crystal deluge (cause deceit aura) couldnt be better use dust vortex and stone ball instead ??

@@NERO-hz7lc lemme start by saying mudrid has sort-of been the weakest link on my team. he's mostly there just for the earth stab against crystals and electrics. he has a little bit of extra synergy from crystal dust and the 2 winds on my team. I personally don't like Dust Vortex on mudrid. It is higher Base power than soil steam, but I think running just soil steam is fine. stone ball is okay against deceit aura nagaise, but otherwise has no value on mudrid xD. I've also been testing tenderness on mudrid, and it's just been okay. I run crystal deluge because it synergizes with certain turn progressions. like, if you press crystal deluge, and switch nagaise in, you still get a fast synergy deluge because deceit aura doesn't activate until the turn after nagaise switches in. I also can change zaobian to mental typing with Telekinetic Shrapnel to provide synergy as well. my current philosophy is you probably shouldn't run mudrid without mentals on your team, because crystal deluge is by far their best technique, but that's just my opinion. if you want an earth tem beside mudrid, I'd recommend vulffy or turoc. zizare might be decent too.

Hi. I’m new to temtem and competitive, so I was wondering you could explain what is considered “high” and “low” elo based on the TMR ranking?

that's a really good question! it's a little complicated so let me explain the best I possibly can: Officially, the tmr brackets are organized like this: bronze: 0-799 silver 800 - 1199 gold 1200 - 1499 Diamond 1500+ these days I'd say 800 and below is low elo. and around the 1k range is average. 1200 is a little above average. and 1500+ is high elo. getting 1500 would put you in the top 100 active players. but take that with a grain of salt; temtem ranked has been released for almost 2 years, and in that time period there have been no tmr resets, or decay of any kind. and the formula for gaining tmr, and diversity of meta, has changed a lot since then. I'm trusting crema designed the brackets based on internal data, but we won't really know the true value of tmr until there's a season reset.

Venom spread is a really strong technique, but requires some set-up, since it only works on poisoned targets. I've been drafting some venom spread teams of my own to try out, so hopefully I'll make a video soon to show it off :). stay tuned!

You can reduce Speed TVs by 73 points and Zaobian, with the whip buff, would exceed Amphatyr max speed.

true! during this format, I opteed to run max speed zaobian, because +1 zaobian outspeeds +3 Loatle with electropunch. the voodoo Loatle cheese strategy was somewhat common on ladder at the time, so I wanted to make sure I had another answer to it.
