I've had one small order from Temu. I think you just have to be realistic about what you can expect. One item had a size issue, they gave credit straight away, no return required. Don't think i would go for rods and reels.
@@jackwreckadventures562 Quite possible. My weakness is fly-fishing. I would expect a fly reel from Temu to be reasonably serviceable. Tbh for most of us, most of the time, a fly reel is just a reservoir for line and as long as it’s not too rough and it doesn’t actually jam up, it’ll do the job. But flyfishers like nice stuff.
@@callumclark3358 my dad is a fly fisherman and also loves flash gear 😂 hand tied flys an polished reals. No temu gear. Unlike me if if does the job then 👌
the glove I bought can actually prevent an .177 900fps pcp from penetrating. His knife must be super sharpen and super hardened. But the glove I bought cost RM150 which most probably around 69 pounds... You pay peanuts you get monkey...lol
@@jackwreckadventures562 Can you tell us what is the type of material in another video? I think it must be just some cloth with plastic coating.. The monkeys might bite through it.. But please dun try it... just a joke...
I've had loads of bits from temu .1 who cuts between the fingers on gloves. 2 There are options of sizes for swivels.. To sum up ,you have got well over the price you paid and I think exceptional value for your money
The lures are decent, I bought a load of them ranging from 7g to 28g and they do the job just fine for a fraction of what buying them here in the UK would cost. They do an orange one that's lethal for mackerel on a bright sunny day.
The dog in the right corner is the best part👍💪 I order also the swivels. Be aware that there are bigger one’s. And not all of them are rust free. Regards
I buy quite a lot of stuff from temu, not bad at all, from fishing gear to baby clothes for my soon to be granddaughter, very good quality for the money.
Its definitely changed the games for priceses that the shops charge us now we can go direct an buy from china ourselves. The fishing top I brought is still in great condition an no colour fade at all
Definitely got a bunch of quality stuff for mi kids like sneakers, waterproof jackets, all the fishing gear .... At low price. Yet if you want the quality you'll have to pay premium, which is still cheaper than local dealer. Got good fleece and softshell for myself too. No complaints whatsoever so far. Just need to read the descriptions and look at all the pics when ordering 😊
Only buy reels that say 6,8,10,+1 bearings as the +1 bearing indicates infinite anti reverse bearing, if it doesn't say +1 bearing it will not be as smooth
I picked up an okuma cold water multiplier, half the price of retail. Good solid reels, BUT.. Okuma don't sell spare parts... I'm now using Shimano/Daiwa mostly.
Brought 2 reels off temu, first impressions were very smooth, have held up ok for cheap stuff, except when I went fishing last week the baitcaster was still smooth to wind but had no drag it was all locked up,will look at cleaning and servicing, if not for 30 bucks it lasted nearly 2 years, just don't expect shimano or diawa quality for that money
cost might be low but i am in thailand moq is 360 thai bhat free shipping alli express moq is 355.53 thai baht free shipping so why should i order from temo 4.67thai baht might not be much of saving but when you are on a budget 4.67thai baht is a good saving
Great video mate. Been sat on fence with Temu and dont think i woukd buy rods or reels but the lures and accessories look ok. Like you say, diesnt matter so much when you lose them.
feathers on the top bro on the green one tht is called assist hookes bro as fish hit the head 90 perecent of the time so having assist hooks at top at head end works better
@@nospoon4799 u get better hook up with assist hooks fish stun the fish on the head end u have 2 assist at top in a anchor shape one hook faces left one faces right plus u dont really get snagged with assist but u get snag every time with trebles
Great vid Mt... Subbed n belled.. Cool now you done it for us ill risk a few quid.. Was wondering if the hooks will just bend or not pierce the fish.. Nice 1..
Yes I was worried at the start sending over details but I've had no come backs or scams. Also a item was broken an a refund was done straight away without even sending It back !
You have to know what your buying or risk some cash. Saltwater metal jigs are good generally. Hootchies are OK. etc Flashblade bait ok. Most gear has cheap hooks.
@@jackwreckadventures562 Hi Jack. Yeah I’ve bought a few carbon fiber spinning rods from 1.10 metres to 3.00 metres. Search for carbon rods a huge selection. They are super small and light when folded. They’re for sea and freshwater. Good luck.
Hi Jack bought a few carbon fiber telescopic rods from 2.10 m to 3.00 metres. They fold down really small and are super light. Action is also good. Search carbon fishing rods. There is a massive selection with some excellent prices. I bought lure fishing rods suitable for freshwater and sea. Good luck.
Im using temu fishing reels for the last 8 months give them hell never washed them and still works eceptionally well and caught sh=t loads on them ,fishing rod still holds up ,tackle heaps gloves socks scaple lead head jigs fishing line (never snapped ) road holders for the boat I buy approx $50-60 au per month from them .My sister buys there clothes and floggs them at the markets for 5 x the price .Did I mention caps sunglasses and nothing has broken
@@jackwreckadventures562 I've seen those chrome/multi colour reels from Temu in action, consensus is, they aren't too bad in the gearbox side, but the drag washers are shite. Upgrade the drag washers and you may have a half decent reel
They were good until they changed from 90% off to 70% with the price ramped right up and then they went from $15min to $50min. Goodbye Temu and hello Aliexpress.
Love that Temu, fishing gear very cheap . Bought that hat great for the winter fishing. Bought them lures pleased with them to. Only thing about this site it takes about 2 weeks for delivery
The gloves I use to handle pike they wicked the gloves.ive had a few lures of temu and was not impressed at some I find it's a hit n miss with some of the lures from temu but good video m8
mate, i bought a reel...absolute crap,1st warm day over 40 (celcius), the bloody thing seized up, the lightweight tatical boots, cheap in price, cheaper in construction, 2 months of occassional wear, disintergrated...the hooks, braid, and lures...not to bad quality for cheap price, not a scratch on keitech ,etc, but if im fishing around snags,i use the temu...i hate throwing 25 dollar lures at dead trees, knowing ive a good chance of losing them. i only get terminal tackle and lures from temu now...everything else, chainsaw jig,etc etc i bought is rubbish.btw,im an aussie
100% agree ! Nothing worse than loosing 5 £10 lures on the same wreck ! 😂 to be fair I found Australia cheaper for tackle than uk. Bcf gear was good and kmart wasnt actually to bad either here in the uk there isnt much price difference between shops wich makes it exspencive but like you said some gear you just cant go cheap on but lures you can
Temu fishing stuff is obviously going to be crap just by looking at it on the app..but wouldn't run Temu down just for the crappy fishing gear they sell because I've brought loads of other things from off there and not been disappointed 😊..and when you think about it your phone was probably made in china amongst other electronic devices
Yes half there stuff is no good but the fishing lures surprisingly are pretty good. I've just orderd a hammock for wild camping so I'm excited to get out and try that and hope it doesnt rip as i get on it 😂
The lures at that price are amazing value, and the rest you can't really moan about at that value. Good info, but please cut out the way you tested the knife. The most polite word I can say is stupid. But please carry on these vids they are to the point no bullshit, such a relief from the tedious Yankie stuff.
Do not make any plans for the future. I have an inkling that you may impale your tongue on the next Chinese fishing float that claims to be also edible. All that said, Its a good thing your doing. Lots of kids now a days don't have the money to start fishing from the get go with the amount of products you demoing.. If you were to purchase that gear from a tackle shop you would need to spend at least 3to4 times what you shelled out. Very entertaining. What's happening. Suddenly I'm tempted to get my credit card out and place an order but my straight jacket is doing its job
Temu product are mostly fake and knock offs... but if you buy those Thousands of dollars and above, it is quite decent.... Recently I bought an ultra violet(black light) super torchlight.... it is so so ultra violet and so bright that it defeats the purpose to be a black light. It shines over 50 meters..... I guess I now can check fake or real money from a far distance....hahahaha
Isn't the TEMU gear just old stock that the manufactures are getting shot of to make space in the warehouse for new stuff ? Before TEMU existed I used to buy "stuff" from a company in Belgium cheap ... Daisy [Military grade] 4 lens glasses 99p ... Ferrari roller skates 99p ... large Door sized heavy duty / quality net curtains 99p ... I even bought an £80+ 12v shower with a metal bucket for a £10 ... all with free recorded delivery post. One year I bought 3 pairs of "bulletproof" glasses for £3 and the seller contacted me offering me 10 pairs for £5 instead. All from a warehouse that stocked and posted goods in the EU for companies from China ... then, when covid hit all that stopped. Temu tho, can sell your data if you've signed up !
When you think about the prices, I'm pretty sure Temu are NOT ethical employers. I'd rather pay more and hope someone gets a decent wage. BTW, I'm not wealthy either.
100% there will be a big reveal in a few years about temu an there ethics and then it will temu will just disappear with no consequences and a massive profit
@@theevilg3nius I fish along the south coast of uk from spearfishing to sea/boat fishing. Got a shark fishing trip coming to the channel on Friday so excited to share that video !! How about yourself?
@@jackwreckadventures562 oh mate , I absolutely love the UK culture. I’m in NYC, and believe it or not our list of species has been growing every year. I’m guessing global warming. A lot of fish stoped migrating since we don’t really have winters anymore. And with the warmer water we’re catching bluefin tuna in local waters , getting Cobia and now sheepshead are back. Currently we’re getting striped bass and fluke (summer flounder) . I just ordered a fishing float tube (not in temu lol ) I can’t wait to be on the local news (idiot goes ocean fishing) You guys get LING COD? What kind of sharks do you guys get?
@@theevilg3nius ah sweet sounds like you got a good variety to target! Yea we get big ling cod now aswell as tuna and octopus returning due to warm waters wont be lont till the great white arrives they recon ! At the min we get blue sharks / port beagles/thrasher sharks and the tope
Too much Chinese s*it around, all wrapped in so much plastic. Never lasts, all ends up in landfil and the ocean. We really need to change how we do things, buy decent quality from local businesses and actually bother your arse to look after things and make them last.
Thanks dude! The gear looks fine for the occasional angler but ime cheap lures have poor quality construction hooks and shody paint work, I'll stick with Rapala 🫡
