One other thing about your number 1 best bet is that it's the most fun. I've played all of the above and craps is by far the most fun to play and socialize with others!
Wow my favorite games in the Midwest- Video poker (worse pay tables but monthly free play) Ultimate Texas Hold'em, and Craps! Your website taught me the basics of statistics and the (many multiple) martingale simulations demonstated the fallacies of 'betting strategies' Thanks Mike!
Like your style. You come across as completely genuine. Great work. Come bet come bet come bet! Oh...I like your original craps series. Short stick city! ;)
Good vid...is it a mistake to sit down at ultimate texas w/ only knowing the first position strategy or is that (at least) enuff to keep fr making mistakes...thnx for all your advice...great stuff
I would not sit down unless you knew what to do at all three decision points. The last one is pretty easy too -- if 21 or more outs beat you, then fold.
If by "first position strategy" you're referring to the pre-flop 4X raise decision, then I'd say knowing that is indeed highly important. All the money you make in this game is through that Play bet, and taking advantage of 4X Play bets when the opportunities arise is critical to overcome the losses on the Ante and Blind bets. It helps that perfect pre-flop strategy is relatively simple. In my experience, the biggest mistake people make in UTH is checking just about everything pre-flop. The 2X and 1X Play decision strategies are more complicated, but at least they can be played somewhat intuitively. Still good to know at least the simple strategy that's on the Wizard's site.
Best bet you can get in a casino with advantage play? Is it video poker is it blackjack is it craps or is there some better game you can gain a higher advantage on then one of these 3??
I’m a craps player only and I only play pass line and come bets maxed with full odds. Sometimes don’t pass and come but rarely. My question is, is there a difference in risk or house advantage if you play every come bet every roll? or should I only have 3 come bets?
Good question. It doesn't matter to the house advantage how many come bets you make. It is less risk to spread your bets out among lots of come bets than one big pass bet.
Never. On a serious note - do you take speed of play in to consideration. For example, a busy roulette table could slow down losses and help your ATL. I know craps can already be very good for this if they're judging your play by hours?
1) craps with full odds, 3-4-5x rule - 0.37% on pass, 0.27% on don’t pass 2) video poker - 0.50% or less 3) sports betting - up to player advantage 4) Ultimate Texas Hold’em simple strategy - 0.53% 5) blackjack - 0.50% or less 6) Spanish 21 - 0.76%-0.42% 7) banking on Pai Gow - 0.08% 8) Banker bet on Baccarat - 1.06% 9) even payout on French Roulette - 1.35% 10) Mississippi Stud - 1.37%
The only Game you have an advantage is Blackjack with perfect Card Counting over hundreds/thousands/millions of hands. The Casinos will see you varying your bet and will force you to stop playing.
