I loved the look's of my old faithfull 1987 KX 125.raced mx and hare scrambles and it never let me down once. After it was stolen I got a 1991 CR 250 but to this day I only miss the KX125.
I've been following you for about a yr now...Your channel is 1 of a kind and awesome. Your collection is 1 that has to be worth a lot of $$ somewhere. TY for always giving us a walk down memory lane. My fav bike was my 1982 YZ80J as it was my 2nd bike & what I learned to race on. I had 3 of them, all set up different.
@@ghpjerry yes i was scared of it at first and man that thing would swap if you let off the gas in the whoops but that midrange was hard hitting for an 80, my friends had an 83 rm 80 no low end all top end a 1980 yz 80 hard hitting and revved far but slower ,another had a 1980 cr 80 another bike with zero low end and way slower ......but my other friend had an 83 kx80 and it would beat me by three links every time...but the yz did have more low end hit
@@danielrelph6878 Yes! That power band on the high end was something else too. When we'd go up north to our cottage & to open that thing up in 6th gear I felt like I was flying! Oh the days. Now it takes all I have to hold on to my 97 CR250. lol
I had the 1985 KX80, the 1993 KX125, the 2006 KX250, then the 2013 KX450F. On a 2016 RMZ450 at the moment though haha. My personal favorite changes every year around June haha. I recon every year they bring out a bike, it's a dream machine 100%.
I had a 1985 KX 125. Still remember delivered to my house for $1983.00 from our local dealer. I was 15 years old at the time. That year it was the fastest 125 available. I loved that damn bike.
The 1996 Kawasaki KX's with the purple tanks are like the most sought after year of the bikes. Especially these days when all the 80's, 90's stuff coming back in style. I also happen to have a 1996 KX60 with the purple tank & shroud. I love it. Great little bike, with some mods.
The picture of the 85' 125 first person on the track, I remember that ad! Great memories...Loved the 85' KX's....I remember when the 1990's came out and being amazed at what Kawasaki had done.....1990 was a really bold, the perimeter frame really set the standard and we still see it today...Question, Did the reliability of the 2006 KX improve over the 80's and 90's KX's ? I remember even the bolts would just break on their own in the 80's.
Those '81/82/83 kx models looked futuristic, uni track suspension, primitive disc brakes up front, crazy bodywork with the rear numberplates; I ended up riding Hondas , they had more parts availability
'90 to '92 KX Range Still looks Great - Had '91 KX250 with Blue Forks, Loved the Perimeter Frame, Wish they Made the 500 with the Perimeter Frame, That would be Sick! -Cheers👍😉🇦🇺
1993>1992 and 1994. The shroud graphics with the cartoon smoke are iconic now. Also, I loved everything about the looks of the last KX two strokes, especially that rear fender.
Being I'm an old MX'er from the 70's, I got one of the first 1974 KX 250's and again in 1978 one of the very first KX 250 A4's. I still love their old, but good looks... :)
My two favorite years are on here...years that I also was lucky enough to own. Had a 1985 KX 80, and a 1990 KX 250. Both amazing bikes that I wished I still had.
I had 1988 kx 500, 1989 kx 250, 1990 kx250, 1994 kx250 ( best kx and mx bike I ever owned, brill suspension, smooth engine and still wish I never part ex it for a 99 cr 250 ) Ps I now have the 2016 kxf 450 and love it also 👏
The 1990 KX 250 was the favorite bike of "The Chicken" Jeff Matiasevich too.. He almost one the series on that bike..really like to have one of those myself..
I definitely want a last gen kx125. That bodywork is my favorite. Otherwise I like 87 88 and 89. But I agree that the 88 and 89 rear fenders are messed up.
I personally think the 97 250 was the best looking because I had one. But in reality of all good looking MX bikes, Kawasaki does not leave you the best to choose from IMO. All through the 70's, 80's and half the 90's, it was one or two of the other colors that turned the most heads. It made Jeff Ward a bit of a loaner.
Do some videos of the Enduros!! Like the RMX and KDX Bikes...and I have a Question....Who in the heck started this hard, narrow, straight Seats???? I hate them! Love the saddle seats...
I loved my 1989 KDX200- weapon! Could you do an enduro clip? I'd like to see one on the 1997 ktm 250 exc 2 stroke. I still own one of these and it ia still a really nice bike to ride
The 1990 kx 250 was a good pick when that thing came out it was the hottest bike on the market it made the other bikes look ancient. But you missed a few the 83 and 84 kx 80s were so cool looking it made my 82 yz 80 irrelevant over night and that 84 kx 125 looked just like wards bike still love that rear fender. How about those first kx 250s 1978 79 they were cutting edge with the green shocks and gold swingarm. I also love the looks of the kx500 1985 i wanted one of those bad as well as the 1992 500 it was the desert king looked like a baja bike to me just needed a light. I also liked the 82 kx 125 first disc brake water cooled and for some reason back then i liked that numberplate fender it looked European to me.but tha #1 pick I bought a 2015 kx450f right when the 2016 came out they were sitting side by side and thought the 15 looked better not to mention it was way faster.
1992 and 1993 kx line was the best looking to me. The 1994 also looked great. The 1990 and 1991 honerable mention for such a big overhaul from the 80s bikes
Great video! Grew up om Kawasaki and KX guys stick together.Team Green and high 5 s in the pits.My 2002 kx 250 with the Pro Circuit pro am team graphics looks the best! Last set of graphics and seat cover I have.Owned the bike since 2003.Old Earl May bike and I could not guess how many thousands I have in it.My old 94 kx 250 actually had more raw horse power.I remember my little brother's 1985 kx 80 was faster than his 90 kx 80 big wheel. So many posters of kx bikes on my wall and school locker. My 1987 kx 125 works replica was ugly compared to the 88 and 89 models I raced against.I get compliments all the time on my 02.Have the Transworld mag on my identical bike.Green Envy. Thanks for the video.Black wheels suck!
I have kx 250 2008 because im from italy in europe last year of 2stroke japan bikes its was 2008 .4me 2008 model its most beatiful of kawa production dirtbikes.bye
Second place bike. The Kawasaki kx250 1990.. I think in my opinion it's ugly and beautiful at the same time. The front looks to the future when it comes to motocross bikes. But the rear part is still stuck in the 80's. Just compare the side panels to the shrouds! I mean it's years apart!
Shane Williams Sorry I was never a fan of that particular design in stock condition at least. The 1999 pro circuit bikes and Ricky Carmichael‘s factory machines we’re both amazing looking but stock I was not impressed.
I kinda like the 125s with that single radiator back then. I truly hate Kawasaki's. I remember in the early 80s Team Green was giving bike's and parts to every local fast kid in So Cal. In 83 I had a support ride with Honda racing the 250 pro class. I got hurt late in the year and did not receive another ride in 84 because I wasn't heald by the start of the year. Kawasaki gave me bikes and parts and they were such trash I gave them back and bought my own Honda. Kawasaki = Trash. Look how many KXs are on the gate at Anaheim 1. Next to none.
And they still have more wins even when they're outnumbered so drastically. KTM stacks the field and still doesn't dominate. Kaws are the easiest to go fast on so they usually finish up front.
Hi tony love your vids, share your opinion mid 90s graphics, on that note what about a vid on the ugliest and rarest Mx bikes !! My iron is 1983 xr500r👍
