That Amityville boxset was actually the first Vinegar Syndrome release i ever grabbed. It was back in 2019 when i started collecting blu rays. I had just ordered the now oop Amityville trilogy and was searching online to see if there was anymore of them and that set popped up.
Great to hear some love for Firestarter. I have always liked it and all I heard when the remake was coming out was how much everyone thought the original wasn't any good, so why did it get remade.
As far as the amityville movies go ive always enjoyed amityville 2 the posession even more than the original. Id probably go for that boxset as well though just cause im a completionist
When I was a kid someone watched Sleepwalkers in front of me. For years the only things I could remember about that movie is that the villains have an incest relationship and someone gets killed by a corn on the cob. A few years ago I finally figured out that it was Sleepwalkers so I wanted to watch it but I didn’t have a way to until Shout Factory released its blu ray, ever since it’s a film I love and come back to every now and then. It’s so insane, silly, weird, and fun and the cameos in that one scene is insane! Oh and ever since I was a kid I’d joke about this guy in a movie getting killed by the corn, seeing it at such a young age made me so curious if that would actually work haha
That Amityville horror cursed collection turn me on to vinegar syndrome early on in my collection.Doll house was my favorite then It’s about time, ready for that 4K from vinegar
You're so right about Night Of The Creeps. I watched it for the first time a few days ago and it really surprised me! I went in knowing nothing about it and ended up having so much fun and absolutely loving it. Also, I watched The Stepfather for the first time last year and I too was blown away by it. Terry O'Quinn is FANTASTIC in that role! 👏🏻
Sleepwalkers is one of my favorite 90s era Stephen King films. I have an original one sheet poster with that artwork too. I agree it's iconic because the dark purple and black colors made it standout at the video store. Honestly Scream is probably my least favorite of all the late 90s horror films. I like Idle Hands, The Craft, The Faculty, Disturbing Behavior, etc. all more than Scream. I just picked up that Blu-ray from the Scream Factory sale so can't wait to revisit Idle Hands. Firestarter is underrated, so is The Stepfather. That Stepfather Blu-ray did come out right before Scream Factory did, but it should have been one of Scream Factory's first releases, along with Race With The Devil. These are the types of films I'd like to see getting 4K upgrades. I have sleeping issues too, so it's nice to realize I'm not alone, because sometimes it feels like a personal issue others can't relate with me over. We should start a late night podcast or something lol, call it "Insomniacs Of Horror." Did you know there's a Friday the 13th Part 5 poster that uses the same artwork as The Wind? It's a Turkish poster I believe. It's either Turkish, Belgian, or French - but it's straight up plagiarism lol.
Nice picks of horror films that are some of the best horror films out there. But here I think is 10 or so lost or forgotten horror films. That nobody talks about that needs at least a bluray release. Bc these 10 horror films are mostly still stuck onl VHS or dvd to this day. 1985 junior & 1990 playroom & 1987 blood frenzy & 1988 fatal pulse & 1981 blood beach & 1984 shadows run black & 1989 psycho cop & 1987 return to horror high & 1987 anguish & 1988 watchers & 1983 the keep & 1988 cheerleader camp
Sleepwalkers is Flawed but fun, I love it. It never had a sequel or a remake, I would like to see a re-imagining of thst movie. Unfriended.. ...no thanks LOL! The Wind is an odd film. Great video!😀👍
If anyone is wondering about the Poughkeepsie tapes, it's a mockumentary about a killer who films is acts. He locks people in his basement does horrible stuff to them. This movie will mess you up so be careful watching it or searching it.
Hey CHH! Love your channel. I usually don't comment on videos but I have been a long time viewer and fan. Great list! I know this video is not about documentaries but I wanted to let you know about a great documentary called "GHOSTS OF THE ABYSS". I think you'll really love it. Did I mention it's a documentary directed by James Cameron and it stars Bill Paxton? It's about a deep ocean dive where they explore the wreckage of the Titanic. I would rate it 10/10. Order it and add it to your collection ASAP. I know the Titanic is of interest to you. I am interested in the Titanic as well. Anyway, wanted to let you know about this amazing documentary. RIP Bill Paxton. Take care dude. P.S.- I remember in one of your previous videos you mention "speaking things into existence"... Well, here's hoping that "NEAR DARK" gets a 4K release soon... It's my favorite vampire film.
