Ten Minute Gladiolus and Carnation Still Life Floral Acrylic Painting with Ginger Cook

Follow along with master acrylic artist Ginger Cook as she demonstrates this complementary colored flower arrangement in one of her famous ten minute paintings as video broadcasting equipment is checked by Jon. The dark brown 6x8 background was covered with a layer of olive greens using a sea sponge.

Ginger YOU have taught me so much! I love and emulate your style and appreciate your lessons. I have recently given myself a challenge to paint every night and complete a 5x7 in 12 (sometimes a few more) minutes. But following you has been such a great help! Thank you again. :)

Its a short version of an ODG but will do an actual tutorial larger like the tulips when I get a chance. Art hugs from Texas . Jon and I might be in Sweden next year on the way to St. Petersburg and maybe we can see you. ?

I use the Holbein watercolors and water soluble oils and I love them. Very bright.

Well I really like them. I have a lot of the other brands of Matisse and golden but might start using these when I have to reorder, as I do like them.

Ginger Cook yeah they seem nice, not heard much about them to be honest but I will research them, I do like Windsor n Newton and Atelier interactive paints very good pigment and the Atelier being interactive are excellent for blending. Have a Fab day ginger, hugs from me.🤗😁💞🎨🇬🇧😘

these are supposed to be the best in the world. Even Samual Golden indicated to Cinnamon he thought they were really awesome paints. Made In Japan.

Why your paints are never dry? My paints last just 15 minutes!

Well perhaps I put out a bit more. but the Holbein seems to stay wet longer.

Thank you for your reply. Yes it's true I try not to spend too much paint so I put out just a little. I 'll try the other brand you suggest although I don't think they have it here.
