Songwriters need to create an independent system! Like podcasts have taken ownership of media, and Artists have gone indie through Tiktok or w.e. and are touring and killing it, songwriters too have to find a way to make ends meet without these Publishing Companies controlling the entire game. Idk how exactly but it is clearly possible. thoughts?
