All three versions of this great classic rock act have been very special. It's so good to see one of the last classic rock acts still performing and producing new classic rock music in this age of hip hop and alternative rock acts.

Marcus Bonifanti, great guitarist. If Ric and Chick say it's Ten Years After, then I guess it is. Hodgkinson thumpin' the bass, it's a great band, still. Not the same as the original with Alvin and Leo, but, hey, they are still out there jammin' and recording. Ten Years After 3.0, or so. I hope to see them live. New songs, classics....how can you go wrong!
It's the audience's responsibility to know who's in the orchestra, which name remains the same through decades. It's the exact same with a symphonic orchestra - the conductors, soloists and musicians come and go, but every line up reaches for high standard and making a good reputation. But the classic pieces stay classic and that is what most want to hear, sometimes with some new compositions aswell.

I'm a hardcore Alvin Lee's Ten Years After fan & this is truly sad...This is why Led Zeppelin stopped playing when Bonzo died. Wanna tour,get someone who sounds like Alvin Lee,don't just get any singer. This is really heart breaking..R.I.P Alvin Lee

Your comment I've enjoyed. There were several versions after Alvin Lee and we in the Western world should stop always comparing things as if there is a ''holy now''. The boys did it wonderful all those years! Nice comment you gave.
I strangely liked this. It's certainly not TYA - not without Alvin or even Leo - but I view it as an interesting impressionistic cover of Alvin's music. Most of the songs are ones that Alvin - either with TYA or otherwise - never or almost never played live. I think my favorite in the set is 50,000 Miles Beneath My Brain. Very different than played on Cricklewood Green, but good nonetheless. I view it as a homage to a great musician and as a way for two of his old buddies to continue on a bit longer. No offense taken.
enlightening comments with respect to new band member(s) - if sports fans gave up on their favorite teams when someone is traded - can get pretty crazy - don't judge a band until you hear them live - I did on RLX two weeks ago. I really enjoyed them. so, TYA_version2

Need to change name of band to Tribute to Ten Years After. Good music..well played as far as instruments..BUT.. You can't replace Alvin's incredible vocals. Not even close. Please change name. No Alvin..No Big Red..No vocals..No Ten Years After.
