Mark Gray yes, Alvin Lee died in 2013 and I believe Leo Lyons split from the group to work with his own band. The original drummer Ric Lee and keyboardist Chick Churchill are in this video.
Ok I gave it a shot....Missing you Alvin..Its of course the guitar, but for me its in the vocals. Alvin really was soulful and you could feel him. This not so much....sorry guys.
This is completely beyond me: Alvin Lee has style, touch and purpose and I'm supposed to acknowledge this poor substitute as a reincarnation of my departed hero ? No way ! TYA was all about Alvin Lee. Keeping the name alive for commercial purposes only is utterly meaningless. Alvin was the original signature - this painful painting is a sorry fake. .
