I feel like alot of people forget how insane Jack's voice is because of his funny man reputation. Most people just expect some funny, joking accent with wierd faces, when in reality he has extraordinary talent😅

Tenacious D is a legit respected 'Rock Band', loved by Fans and their peers. Dave Grohl from the Foo Fighters LOVES those guys, and Dave Grohl also loves Queen, so you know he has taste.
I went to see the film, "High Fidelity" at the theater when it came out. This was the first time I think I had seen Jack Black in anything. And when he sings Marvin Gaye's "Let's Get It On", at the end of the film, I was floored and not entirely convinced it was him. About a year and half later, their eponymous album dropped and I listened to it over and over and became a D fan.
If you think this is good, take a listen to the Ville Valo/ H.I.M cover of this song. If angels made music we could hear, it would sound like Ville Valo's voice.

Jack's probably one of the most explorative singers in the world. I don't think anyone outside of highly trained classical masters has the mastery of his vocal and expressive range. Certainly not the playfulness. He's spent his whole life figuring out every cool sound his mouth can possibly make!

I honestly don't know if JB would've been here at this level without KG. They had some amazing chemistry in the early days with skits. No JB without KG imo

In all seriousness, if you want a GREAT Tenacious D song, i strongly recommend these few tracks: -Dude (I Totally Miss You) -Tribute -Double Team -The Ballad of Hollywood Jack Jack Black's voice is so good that it makes ME want to learn how to sing. That's how great he is. He even got Meatloaf and Ronnie James Dio to do some verses for their Pick of Destiny movie soundtrack (Kickapoo).
