The Royal Princess is really watchable, I never really like Zhang Linghe before but right now I have change my mind, he is so good... And the relationship between Li Rong and Pei Wenxuan is quite sweet, really beautiful pairing and I hope the drama won't derail later on but for now, am really enjoying it
Depends. It's very unlikely that I will watch any of these dramas. However, I might follow some via rant videos. Problem is that 🥝🐧 both might be clamping down on "unauthorized use" making unlikely judging for myself via ranted clips.
Looking forward to Dilraba's new dramas! Her performance and acting is always giving. So, I'm so excited for her upcoming dramas especially on Sword Rose where she is a Police Officer and Love On The Turquoise Land wherein she is a badass Crazy Knife. These two dramas released their trailer and it's already giving me chills. I hope Tencent will released the broadcast date of the Sword Rose. Love to watch a beautiful woman acting greatly.
I remember an old video that compiled dramas with "love" in its title and it was hilarious and awesome. I would love to see something like that with the word "nirvana." Anyways, thank you for your service!
I watched Grand Princess or Royal Princess, it is good, i'm hooked with the story. The chemistry build up beautifully in later episode even i hate the male leads in first episode 🤣 but i get why he feel like that. I hope this stays faithful to the novel plot. 😔
Dilraba really making sure that even if her compay is useless, she will still give her best in acting and giving the best to her fans. Really loves to see her act beautifully 😊
🎉I will definitely look up for Dilireba 's Drama ; just check , i hope the script is solid enough. 🎉 Rise of ning . 🎉The glory ❤❤( love the costumes )❤❤ 🎉The lilia Road ❤ 🎉 Ni Ni😊😊Drama ... Nice hair Avenue X!!!
I would agree with you. A lot of the idol actors aren't really good at acting. What they have is good looks and personality that attracts their followers. It is regrettable that people are so blinded by idol culture that they don't really give actors/actresses an honest assessment. Although, when you have bad scripts and dramas being made because of money and generally not because they love the story. .. I'm thinking of the level of passion as Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings Trilogy... it's hard to make anything good.
I think she did a very good job in 'You are My Glory', but I've always suspected that both leads were just playing themselves instead of a fictional character. What I mean is that her character in that drama wasn't too far from who she is in real life so it wasn't too much of a stretch. I also think she was passable in The Long Ballad but some of the lines of dialog she was given in the role were really lame. I'll be curious to see how she does in 'Love in the Turquoise Land'. The plot sounds interesting.
I think Dilraba can act...she was badass and amazing in ..The Kings Woman and the long Ballad.....plus was also amazing in TMPB....what happened after those works are bad choices with scripts she chose and focusing more on being an model than actual acting😅....so I hope she can turn things around with her upcoming works.
I am interested in the CXX and Dilreba drama only bc I miss CXX and I want to see him in a drama that doesn't look stupid (unlike his last couple of contemporary dramas).
Ren Jialun has been having his own studio and taking outside projects since 2020 so he will represent himself after his contract with Huanrui expired. All his fans has been waiting for it since long time ago. But he will stuck with another Huanrui drama 'A Perfect Match' even after taking 'Phoenix Stage' so only after that he will be completely free. But good news is that all the luxury brands he represented renew with him and even upgraded his status to Global Ambassador once he left Huanrui. It seemed like all of them waited before upgrading his contract.
I think it’s because of the dark and rainy weather that made room ambient light too weak, and my led light appear to be too bright it ended up overexposing my hair😂
@AvenueX123 I will like to know what you think of Diliraba acting skill..... I personally think her acting is mid to begin with but then the older she get the more she looses her acting skill from when she was a rookie ..maybe because of the idol baggage ❤
I feel most of the actors are getting recycled again and again into new dramas that moreso likely have the same tropes and plots tbh and it's getting boring like can't we get some new good faces. I really an waiting for NIF2 and I jope they add nee main faces instead of recycled actors that don't have their acting calibres way up.
"and the audience are psychopaths, so we're probably gonna get more torture" XD I laughed out loud at this, ahah, I guess we do love some bloody/snow/romantic/torture/fight kind of stuff in period dramas, I don't know, maybe only when done right))) Thanks for the update, I probably won't watch even half of the series you mentioned, but it's entertaining to see just how much manpower (and money) goes into creating so many dramas. Just wish everyone spent more time writing interesting plots))) Thanks for gathering all these updates 🌸
Hope they invest more in talent development, like screen writing, directing, and actual martial arts talents for actors. Than producing alot of shows w subpar standards.. (basing past few years)
These days, quantity seems to be more important than quality in Chinese dramas. That's why I feel that the content of the dramas are all similar. Only the main characters change, and the content of the dramas is the same. For example, out of 50 dramas, only about 2 are really well-made. There is nothing creative in Chinese dramas anymore. It just shows a pretty and handsome young man and woman falling in love... Especially Chinese modern dramas are so bad.
i hope the dramas tan jianci is in turn out to be good! the trailer for filter killed me, every time i think about it i just have the biggest smile on my face 😂 and fingers crossed lost you forever ties his character's ending satisfactorily
I have tried to watch Imperial Coroner a couple of times.I really like the drama BUT the camera and scenes move and change frames so quickly it gives me motion sickness makes me feel dizzy I would really like to watch the whole thing 😢
I am here for my actress Reba. Really looking forwards to Sword and Rose & Love on The Turquoise Land. For me . She never dissapointed me. I loved the way She act.
Seems that in China, the production goes for quantity rather than quality. Doesn’t quality dramas need time to complete? How can so many dramas be made in a year?
@@sunnylo6081Money laundering is often mentioned. Agencies, management companies, streaming platforms invest or double as production companies to promote their "talents" who must be seen to potentially increase fan bases. Fandom crowdfunding might also be a source.
@@sunnylo6081 My previous reply didn't make it. So... One often cited reason is 💰🧼. Another is to promote "talents", new or old. They must be seen as frequently as possible so they might stick or stay stuck to build or maintain fan bases.
Remember (Winner is King )....is of the BL adaptation genre which has a ban on from 2021...They even have( Immortality) which is the biggest BL in their hands.... but it still can't be aired also...Hopefully oneday things change for the better and we can get them....until then it's a waiting game...😅
Unpopular opinion, but I am excited for "Under the Skin 2" However, after "My Roommate is Detective," I have learned to tone down my expectations. At least we can guarantee having the same eye candy as season one.
I don't understand Chinese Entertainment; why film so many dramas and they just shelve them, ony popular actors ' dramas that get to air. Just wasting money
You recently mentioned that you're diving into series and media from other countries like Kdramas because of the sad state of Chinese dramaland. In that case, I'll highly recommend checking out Heeramandi which is a Netflix India series. It's made on such a grand scale and its costumes and cinematography will leave you in awe. Acting and dialogue delivery is also top notch. Plus the historical aspect is truly very interesting. It's about pre independence India when courtesans wielded a lot of power. It's mesmerizing. 👌🏽👌🏽
Watched one of your 'old' reviews of 5 dramas in one go. Your insider comments on things like music and lighting interesting as always, but you also mentioned the zqsg, truly felt emotion, that you did NOT feel... Today, to me this is more correct than ever. We dropped SO many dramas because the stories would embarras a 12 year old, and because they sport ( not even always) pretty leads with ZERO charisma and appeal, and ZERO chemistry within the cast. Strange dramas like My journey to you, or , your favorite (n o t) , TtEotM, succeeded anyways because of a sizzling cast, the god-awful Fighting for Love had an OK FL paired with a fencepost as a ML (at least the villain was sexy), why, why is this so? One word: NEPOTISM. Watch the incompetent Annabel (there's a Chinese name easy to pronounce) from the Huawei family, the prosecution rests!
Fighting for Love would have been so much better if the FL had been paired with General Chang for most of the program. His character was more her equal and he was much more interesting than the ML. After she spent time with him, it made me wonder why she'd ever want to go back to that stupid ML character. That seemed like a really dumb idea.
Don’t underestimate the great job of Shanghai Blossoms team please. It’s rather rare example of well done cinematography which can be positively compared to quality western cinema products.
I totally agree. I am from Georgia and am sincerely admired by this magnificent work, which made me fall in love with Shanghai and the history itself. An amazing, rare and subtle work, it turned out to be in tune not only with the soul of the Shanghai people and the “Shanghai circle”. Blogger... is wrong)
Thank you 🙏 for the update 👍 I’m just looking forward now for Lost you forever S2 I’m watching a lot of Chinese drama 🎭 and mostly period custom drama , some short and some long like 👍 Royal princess and follow your heart I’m also watching moon love So I’m busy but usually, I checked all the ratings and what people said about the drama 🎭 before watching it unless it’s my favourite Chinese actress was on it so I don’t worry 😉 I just watched it mostly 👍 Of course, I was disappointed of The tale of Rose because after 20 episode, it’s was so slow and not exciting like the first 12 episodes 😮 But , I watched the end of it after leaving it for almost 2 weeks- still disappointed 😔 We will see which one ☝️ I chose next 😂 Have a nice weekend 👋
Just wanna say that the official English title is Blossoms Shanghai and not Shanghai Blossom. You can verify it, it’s not hard to do. (Not sure why my reply below disappeared)
Princess Royal is yawn-inducing, a lot of dialogue, reminiscing past, not much action, everyone just sits and talk and talk till my ears ache😂the premise is even more of a fantasy than Double. This is a drama one watches with the guilty sense of wasting one's time. Thankfully the Judge series with Luo Jin is up
Watched a video in which a couple former c-ent "insiders" predicted Magnolia Awards winners. One strongly believed that Shanghai Blossoms would win most of the awards because Magnolia Awards strongly favored their local compadres. The only reason that Shanghai Blossoms director wouldn't receive an award was because he didn't need one - he already got more prestigious awards. Best Actress was up for grabs because Tang Yan, throughout her career, was not as strong in acting as her fellow nominees.
For the last drama, I suprised to see the mailbox to be red, is the drama set in China? In my memory, back when these things were common place, everything single one of the mailboxes in China are green colored instead of red.
I am on Ep.3 of Princess Royal I feel like there is absolutely no chemistry between the main couple. I like both actors but so far I am not really enjoying their interactions I do like the storyline tho
I’m watching it as well. There is no chemistry yet because the drama begins with them hating each other. I read that after episode 3 the animosity between them decreases. We shall see. Maybe they just use each other for power and then leave on good terms at the end.
Encore: the male leads in these dramas look sooo alike, wtf, like young dynamic accountants. Is this 10 PLEASE less Dilraba, LuSi....... is this 10 cent policy, or does the CEOs son look like that? Already decided to pass em up.
I don't think they share equal billing....as getting the highest billed depends on who takes in the first ML role plus who has already an higer established career in acting...however in LYF case ....regardless of who had the highest billing......Deng Wei got immense recognition as he was applauded for his character portrayal(a character which no other leads wanted😅)....and Tan Jian Ci was the audience favorite( esp....from novel fans)..
@@estherc2256 Tan Jian Ci is listed as “special lead appearance” which technically excludes him from ‘billing order’ - if you look at the official posts, his name is always written last in all ‘lead actors’ name lists for the drama, even behind Wang Hong Yi. (As an example: Jin Shi Jia is similarly listed as “special lead appearance” for ‘Under the Skin’ - his name is always written last)
Dilraba has done 2! dramas worth watching. The Long Ballad and KW. She’s the most overrated actress in China. She is very attractive but is annoying in some roles. As for her intelligence? 9/10 I’ll give her that
