Welcome back to the course! In this episode, we wake-up in a strange location prior to heading to the course. We get assignment to the debris team, and do our best to beautify the golf course. Thanks for watching!
I’m not sure why I find watching you work as a greenskeeper after a day of ME working as a greenkeeper so relaxing - but I do! You work in a beautiful spot! I’m working on a course build and we are hoping to open 9 holes next April. I hope we can get it to look as great as your course does by then!
I love this guys content and attitude. Seriously, your videos are awesome, please keep the content coming! I work in the technical field and my stress level is often through the roof.. but your attitude teaches me to just calm down, enjoy every moment I can, and make the best out of everything. My second passion is managing turf at my house, I absolutely love it!
Love those John Deere compact tractors…. In fact I’m running one in the morning as have got to put a fungicide down on the greens ! Great work as per usual sir….. 👍🏻🔧
Oh man, that’s a bummer. That happens quite often in the North but we are lucky, down in Florida, to avoid it for the most part. Best of luck and I hope you guys can manage it.
Hey John! I started working at a course this year and I’ve loved it ever since I started. I’ve been watching you for a bit and I just want to say keep up the amazing work and stay healthy
I worked as a GCS in Florida for 25 years. Keep up the great work. Yes, every single piece that you picked makes a difference. I wish I had an entire crew with your work ethic.
Thanks Bradley! I appreciate the compliment. Congrats on your years in the business, that’s awesome. Feel free to impart your wisdom whenever you see fit. Thanks again for watching.
@@fairwayjohn6336 no need for thanking me for watching I really enjoy your videos. I have the jd4720 so nice to see the smaller version. I hope your hone is bug free soon and that you can return.
You have the ads of someone who has a million subscribers recently John lol 🤣 , glad you got the ok to film there , one day a ball will go in the hole. You will get there not only in subs, but in those jobs usually kept for the more experienced. Just keep doing what you do and continue to be you mate,it will happen 👍👍👍
Thanks Gavin! Yea…I’m not sure how RU-vid decides how many ads they put per video…I think I can mess with that so it doesn’t ruin the videos. And yes, I’m going to make a shot on camera one day!!! Lol. Thanks for all your support.
Love the videos! Keep up the great work. Question: I’ve noticed you don’t wear safety boots (steel toe) is that common in USA? In Australia you have to wear all safety equipment by law.
Thanks Andrew. I can definitely film some of the food for you. I showed a little bit in a few videos when I started on the new course but haven’t done so lately. Good idea!
Everyday…depends on what portion of the course. Fairways are sprayed daily. A lot of products are designed to help the soul retain water. I can ask for specific names if you want.
@@fairwayjohn6336 I’ve found you can buy cheap ones on Amazon that work pretty darn good and keep the ice and water cold for Hours. I play golf after 12 three days a week in the Sarasota area and it keeps the ice and water really cold for up to 6 hours. Don’t need to Be name brand
Hi John, I'm a new subscriber to your channel so forgive me if you've covered this topic already, I haven't watch ALL of your videos yet but I'm working on it. Really enjoying them and learning alot. I'm in the hiring process for a course here in North Central Florida so they're giving me an idea of what to expect on the job. I have a really basic question: What do you wear to work? Shorts or pants, long or short sleeves, a combination of both and do you wear sneakers or some type of work boot. I'm assuming the weather will be about the same here as in South Florida so looking for your input. Thanks man, keep up the good work. You're making starting a new job a lot less scary!
Hi Bob - good luck out there! You’re going to love it. I usually wear waterproof outdoor work pants (blue - to match course colors). I sometimes wear blue shorts. I’d recommend long sleeve, breathable shirt, steel toed shoes. Definitely sunglasses and a hat. NOW, the course might require you to wear a uniform so that might change things. But definitely bring sunglasses, hat, water jug. Good luck!!!
Why do you have mulch and pine straw,is there any rhyme or reason, cos i saw some landscape beds and tree rings have pine straw others have mulch, why is that?
I’ve had to spray (RoundUp) to kill weeds in both pine straw beds and mulch beds. In my opinion, the mulch does a waaaaay better job preventing weeds than the pine straw. So maybe that’s why the Super is making the transition?
