As my fishing slows down for the season and some tenkara rods may be getting put away for the year I like to make sure and take the time to do some basic tenkara rod maintenance.
Before putting a tenkara rod away for an extended length of time it's a good idea to take it apart and make sure it's fully dry. And every once in a while it's a good idea to clean it as well.
