Been quietly watching your videos for years, they helped me through the disruptions to work life balance during COVID! Time I commented, this one was EXCEPTIONAL and EPIC. Thanks for all your hard work! We imagine how this may all operate but your video shows the reality, down to nuts and bolts! So cooool!

At the end there you can see that 4023's front air hose drags on the ties periodically and the air intakes on the side have picked up leaves. Great video, I liked all the different views and story that went with it.

Love the way you tell a story and go over the route. This is a railway that does something [ yes they all do] a product from A to B letting the big boys take the stuff to anywhere. Lovely, well shot , well explained and a welcomely different to the trains passing a location type offering.

Great video as always! Beautiful scenery and seems like a well run operation….Still trying to figure out why NS didn’t want to continue operating a line that has a consistent and profitable customer. I’m starting to think NS stands for “Notoriously Stupid”….which could also explain why they liked to run their locomotives backwards. 😂 jk. But in all seriousness, NS, if you’re reading this…do us a solid and reopen Salida. And UP….reopen Tennessee Pass. Make railroading exciting again.

Saluda. So much of that line is washed away, and the S line is nothing but a branch line anymore. Coal is gone, as is the paper mill at Canton, NC, and the remaining through traffic on both of these lines was rerouted to other higher density routes years ago. The days of heavy mainline railroading through the NC mountains on NS lines is long gone! A damn shame, but it’s just the economics of this age!
@worfsonofmogh1154
@worfsonofmogh1154 Год назад
It may have something to do with the high number of bridges, the tunnel and curves at grade. All of that maintenance would be an issue. Lhoist still interchanges with NS so they still get the customer without such an expensive branchline

Can you guys potentially make a video talking about the Norfolk Southern Cloverleaf division in Toledo and Maumee Ohio, although I’m not sure it would be interesting enough.

So @Delayinblock, is this your third video now out about Lhoist? I surely have enjoyed everyone of them. Any news from them about them buying "new" power? Or maybe send those GEs to Ft Worth for an overhaul and be called a DC23B4M? Sure would be interesting.

While I know of the person who is the person in charge for the most part of delay in block production because he also narrates some of his his content. However I never have figured out who the person is who narrated the the video this time because the guy who did it this time also narrates one of the cass west virginia videos. Can someone please clue me in on who he is and what else he has narrated.

If I remember right his name is Dave, and there is an insane amount of hate towards him from grown adults throwing tantrums.

It is difficult to benefit from the intermittent and rapid views of the maps since the position of the train is not indicated. Otherwise, a great video.

Can y’all stop reuploading the same footage over and over
@IndianaNorthWestern
@IndianaNorthWestern Год назад
I think they keep uploading the same vids because they always get filled with hate comments over the new narrator, and since theres so many, it's easier to just delete the video and reupload. I think personally it would be easier just to say "we're keeping Dave, cry about it lol" tbh.
@Signal1072
@Signal1072 Год назад
@@IndianaNorthWestern that could be true…I hope they realize that it’s not just about the narration though, I miss the in-depth details and info about all the different spots and locations. Not as interested when it’s the same jib jab just read off by someone else. Not to mention it’s been going on for a year if not longer now.
@marinablueGS

Drayton has stated he will re-upload videos if errors in pronunciation or factual details are discovered. The reason for being so accurate is that his purpose is that his videos can be used for historical reference with confidence knowing that they have been rigorously checked for accuracy in all aspects.
@Signal1072
@Signal1072 Год назад
@@marinablueGS even still most of the reuploads are from the most recent videos a year or two back with drayton narrating , when they were done in a professional capacity and had little to no errors. All the videos lately are just a new narrator, same content and information. I’m not saying this stuff to be “that guy” in the comments, I just feel like I’m definitely not the only one interested in seeing something new.

Or better yet scrap the GEs and upgrade to an all EMD operation. 👍
@IndianaNorthWestern
@IndianaNorthWestern Год назад
You'd be surprised how they both perform better with eachother, GE locomotives get heavy stuff moving easily, and EMD stuff keeps it moving.
@nikerailfanningttm9046
@nikerailfanningttm9046 Год назад
@@IndianaNorthWesternLMFAO. Tell that to the SD90MAC, where it constantly broke its own crankshaft and the entire rosters of them had to be repowered to puny 4,300-4,500 prime movers. Meanwhile our AC6000CW’s were kicking that mac’s ass. EMD lost the Horsepower wars, and lost its position as top leading locomotive builder and supplier in America when the Dash and Evolution Series came out. So in GE/EMD lashup, it goes like this; GE gets moving, keeps the consist moving, EMD: blows its turbo and makes the GE do more work, showing the superiority of the GE.
