Between the bad pitch and then the interception may have gotten a little overconfident. It’s great to see though as that overconfidence has been sorely lacking at the QB position since Reesing. It was fun to watch them deliver a beatdown. Just feel like Leipold has led a culture change with KU football.
I had the sense they came out a bit unfocused in the 2nd half due to such an obvious mismatch. They half-assed a few plays and it resulted in an embarrassing interception to wake them up. They put Neal back in to get them back on track and he busted out the 80 yard touchdown run.

@@MGnKntkY And conversely the point is that for the first time since 2007, Kansas has convincingly defeated an opponent. I cannot tell you how many times I've seen Kansas either lose this game or win at the last second. This is the first time I since 2007 that Kansas looked like a football team.

Kansas actually has a chance to not be horrible this season.. not sure how many games they will win this year but they look better than last year that's for sure..
@@BillyBassBen we’re still not “good” temper expectations Tennessee Tech went 1-11 last year in the FCS a level below us. We beat the Kansas of FCS basically but we did it convincingly. 3-4 wins this year is all we should be expecting and then 5-6 next year.

Central Michigan isn’t a FCS team they are a FBS team that went 9-3 last year. Tennessee Tech is a FCS team that went 1-11 last year we basically beat the Kansas of the FCS….but we did do it convincingly so it’s still a positive.
No as an OU fan this team is DEFINITELY gonna be ok not special but 5 maybe 6 n a bowl game yes!!! Yall have some ballers if they stay healthy they can beat some teams i know its Tenn. Tech but its about execution they executed like a decent team 56 10 its some teams gone finish the season ranked and wont beat that team like that i believe ijs their gonna win some games and nott no 2 3 or 4
Longhorn fan here…. I’m telling y’all now, the Big 12 better beware of Kansas. It’s not just that they won big. It’s how they did it. Big play after big play. Offense looks crisp. They have an established QB. And the defense looks way more athletic than last year.
@@jleww8959 You're not understanding that Kansas hasn't been able to do more than eek out games vs these type of teams in recent years. Im not saying that KU is going to run through the Big 12. But they look like they're ready to actually compete instead of hope to compete.

The way they did it showed they have talent and depth finally to compete. They would have scraped a win vs this team in the past 5 years. They destroyed them as they should, and looked talented doing it. You can minimize it all you want, that's fine- but to speak as if you know what you're talking about seems weird to me. Clearly you're just unable to view this objectively.
Obviously it was a fun win, and shows Kansas will still be in the game late into the fourth quarter against most teams on their schedule, but we will see if they have the heart to pull out those types of games. Still the athletisisim of the team looks very good.

Don't know if this will be the year or not, but Leipold has Kansas on the way back to respectability. Yes, it's an FCS team, but Kansas did what a team from a Power 5 conference should do to an FCS team.

We beat Texas last year, almost beat Ou, Wvu, and Tcu. Ku’s put on a lot of mass especially on defense, they’re faster, and have had a full off season with Lance. They had two months with him before last year. Kansas has a top 25 transfer portal group on the field this season and it’s showing. Oh and we has the wrong quarterback starting for most of last year. Kansas is a different team, period.
Lets Go, KU. A conference is only as strong as its weakest links. Dont worry about the competition at the top. Right now, KU Vandy and NW are contributing to the strength of their conference. ROCK CHALK!

Did not like that hit on the defender in the end zone after Highshaw scored. I was shocked that he didn't get flagged. Hope coach talks to team to tell them when they are amped up they need to remember boundaries.
@@cade7117 facts. Also, if kansas went against Tennessee Tech last year, the score would've been 15-7, Kansas would have still won but not by much. The main point here is they improved, thats what all Kansas football fans are happy about, slow but inevitable improvement
