The only difference is that Ronaldinho won almost all of the trophies for his respective club and country along with multiple individual awards... Monfils has the talent to win multiple majors but he lacks the desire/mental toughness to win it .... An extremely talented player who could never back up with titles...
Oof get wrecked “Come at me, but I win in subs, I’m the giant just killing bugs” KSI, circa I’m can to check. Check my sub count you bugs and stop fighting BABIES
He seems like such a great guy with a great personality, but he chooses to play for the crowd instead of himself. It’s sad because his athleticism is off the charts and he definitely has 1 grand slam in him
Too bad he doesent put this much effort into being consistant throughout the year. As it is the biggest title he has won is a ATP 500 event back in 2016 and briefly reached a career high of #6. Not a bad career, but not a great one considering his natural talent.
He doesn't really care about his career. This is the kind of player who is there for the game, he just wants to play, to win great points and most important to have pleasure. You are not forced to work hard because you are a great talent, never mind others work hard without being good players. And that's not only true for tennis....
@@paj1193 True. I completely agree. Monfils is an entertainer, and yes also talent doesn't force you to work hard. However, if Monfils took the game more seriously, he would have had a better career
its a pity when you have fun haters who cannot do it better, are experts because they are about created stats... Instict is rare in sport we are all trained professionals its finally good to see the longest champ come from junior to still be here still playing adding a different flavour to a sport crafting it as he goes and you can clearly see the mans character in this guys play... you mad you hating? Well its hard not to.... i wish to one day work with him Forever Gael Monfils
I've seen it when playing casual mixed doubles, probably just dont get the required ball positioning and pace in a mens singles match to really get a chance to setup that sort of extreme backspin drop shot. It would be basically like my funny spin serves that land just over the net on the line then jump sideways. Works well when its just a fun match but in a pro game my serves would be devoured lol
pamanudavy I never said he wasn’t good. If you look at what everyone is saying, it’s that he has so much talent and athleticism that he had the potential to be much better than what he is now, but unfortunately he’d rather goof off than win a grand slam
I was always wondering about the shot at 4:27...if the ball after bouncing in my part of the court and without I touch the ball get back to the part of my opponent is the play continues or it is my fault and opponent's point?
Il aurait pu gratter une ou 2 places, mais bon, quel intérêt ? On ne se rappelle jamais des No3 ou 4, par contre on se rappellera bien de son jeu pendant très longtemps
