I’ve been next to him and Diego Schwartzman and I’d say they’re the same height. So for him to win a grand slam and have the career he had he was amazing.

Chang was in final of 3 other grand slams. Diego is very talented player too. It would seem Diego is more powerful with ground strokes. This is simply because of different strong and racquet technology.

@@UchihABitachi he said 5' 9 in shoes, sports always list short guys at this height for some reason.

It’s not all physical in some sports and tennis is one. I’ve played talented players crumble with unforced errors cause of mental weakness.

When u r the biggest and tallest, u r expected to win by hitting the ball harder. But most people aren't the biggest. That is why tennis is a mental game in order to beat the bigger guy

Western forehand, 2 handed backhand, you better be ready to run.

I thought Chang was going to teach how to hit better. Every adult knows to get better, you need to play better people. Sorry that's not a tip. I can go out there and play a better opponent a million times, but unless I have a sound game and stamina, I'm not going to win. You can write down whatever you want in your little book.

Faisal M you might want to play with a better player, but a better wont play with you if you are not a good hitter.... anyone can hit top spin but most of the people dont know how to generate power... because they dont know how hold the right grip and feel.. and mechanic... in order to do that you need to do shadow swing and workout...no matter what you say your level will stay the same because lack of knowledge... nobody cant improve

Chang did 100 sit up so he can build up strong core and return big servers' balls. He walked the talks and won French Open...unlike keyboard warriors.

Faisal M first, you can see him giving lots of technical tips to the kids individually based on their specific games, but this is an edit by a newspaper reporter with general advice for their general audience so of course it’s not about the details of stroke production. Second, you didn’t even get the tip right, he was talking about players you don’t like to play, not “better” players - the two are not synonymous.... and actually adults in particular have a tendency not to do that, they tend to play opponents they like, opponents whose style doesn’t bother them. It’s human nature so everyone tends to do it. You really need to listen carefully to guy who reached the pinnacles of tennis instead of griping about a two minute long free RU-vid video.
